A one-day educational visit was organized by the Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP), Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow Campus to one of the most renowned and technically advanced research organization, 'The Central Drug Research Institute, CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow on 15th February 2023. Dr. Zeeshan Fatima and Dr. Nimisha Srivastava, AIP, AUUP Lucknow Campus took the initiative in organizing this educational visit and accompanied the M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) & (Pharmacology) students of 2nd semester along with. The main objective of this visit was to enhance the vision of PG students to give them directions as to how to translate discoveries and observations of the laboratory into new diagnosis and therapies for the benefit of humanity. On 15 February 2023 an open day was conducted by CDRI on the occasion of 72nd Annual Day celebrations and it was open for all the students of B.Pharm, Pharm.D and M.Pharm.
During the visit, the students learned and observed the demonstration of chemical reactions & extraction of natural products in medicinal chemistry & chemistry of natural products lab. They also got a chance to visit the Molecular Biology & Bioinformatics lab. Apart from this, they also attended the interactive session in the auditorium with Senior Principal Scientist Dr Anil Gayakwad. The students showed their interest and actively participated in the visit. It was an interactive forum for the exchange of new knowledge and opportunities for stimulating young minds. The students and faculties felt motivated to perform better and more meaningful research for the benefit of mankind.
