National Science Day is an annual celebration observed in India on 28th February to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect, for which the Indian physicist C.V. Raman won the Nobel Prize. It is celebrated to ignite an interest in science, inspire students and make them aware of the developments in science and technology. Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP) under the aegis of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus, celebrated this day with utmost gush at the Multipurpose Hall, Clock tower Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus on 28th February 2023.
The function was graced with honourable dignitaries from the campus including Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh K Tiwari, Dean Academics, Director Outcome, SPOC – SWAYAM- NPTEL, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus; Prof. S. Z. H. Zaidi, Director AIBAS and Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Mishra, Director-Amity Institute of Pharmacy. The students of AIP hosted a scientific quiz competition and a science exhibition to help students from various department of the university to showcase their scientific talents. Shivanshi Chauhan, Harsh Mangala, Shivansh Mishra and Mohammad Kaif Khan were the winners of the Quiz competition and Nikita Chauhan, Shreya Rathi, Iqra Haseen Ahmed, Singh Khushbu Ravindranath were the winners of the science exhibition. The winners were felicitated with certificates and medals. The program ended at 04.00 pm and was highly appreciated by the students and faculties of AIP, AUUP Lucknow Campus.
