Mediated Communication: A Beginning of New Era

Amity School of Communication Lucknow organized 1st Annual National Students Conference on Mediated Communication: A Beginning of New Era.

The conference aimed at graduate and postgraduate students of Journalism and Mass communication and other allied fields. Ms Archana Mirajkar (Senior Media and Communication officer, Foreign Mission, New Delhi) and Dr Pradeep Nair (Dean, School of Journalism Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Himanchal Pradesh, Dharamshala) were the Keynote Speakers for the event.

Session Chair for the conference were Dr Vikram Kaushik (Department of Communication, Management and Technology, Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar), Dr Rohit Kushwaha (Director, Amity Business School, Amity University, Lucknow), Dr Amitabh Srivastava (Director, School of Media and Communication, Manipal University, Jaipur) and Dr Arbind Sinha (Advisor and Adjunct Faculty MICA ,Ahmedabad).

Keynote speakers and session chairs from different fields of mass communication addressed the students and shared knowledge and rich experience. Over 190 participants (national and international) attended and 55 papers were presented during the conference.

The presentation of the papers was followed by the question and answers and was evaluated by the session chairs on different parameters.  The paper presentation was divided into four themes. The best paper, one from each theme was awarded with the Best Research Paper Award. An Abstract Book was also done which is a collection of all papers presented during the conference.

Winning authors were Rahul Mohanto (Amity School of Communication, Lucknow), Anushka Bhakta (Amity School of Communication, Lucknow), Manan Kathuria (Amity University, Noida) and Bhavika Bhambri (Christ Deemed to be University, Delhi). This event was coordinated by Prof (Dr) Sanjay Mohan Johri, Director, Amity School of Communication, Amity University Lucknow Campus.
