The freedom struggle was fought with full might in every part of our country INDIA. In every corner of this land, great sons and brave daughters were born who gave up their lives for the nation. Hence, it is very important that we preserve the saga of their struggles for our sake and their memories. In view of this, Amity School of Applied Sciences (ASAS-L) online celebrated the “75th Independence Day” on 17th March 2021. ASAS-L proposed an Interactive Webinar to make our students remember and praise those freedom fighters who gave their lives to make the India an Independent nation.
The objective of the event is to celebrate our independence and to cherish this auspicious day with patriotic sentiments. It included talk by eminent guest speakers Dr. D.P. Dubey, Prof., Dept of Ancient History, Culture and Archaeology, University of Allahabad; Dr. Neelima Mishra, Senior Teacher at KVS, IIT Prayagraj; and Mr. Harishankar Mishra, Editor of Dainik Jagran Lucknow. Poster presentations and Youth views sessions were also the part of the celebrations to imbibe the feeling of the celebration. It was a successful and informative event with 90 students and faculties were participated in the event. Prof. (Dr.) Asita Kulshreshtha (Head of the Institution), chaired the session. Dr. Sangeeta Bajpai & Dr. Jaya Pandey were the event coordinators.
