Basant Panchami is a festival that marks the preparation for the arrival of spring. The festival is celebrated by people in various ways depending upon the region in the life in the Indian subcontinent. To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Suheldev and to celebrate Basant Panchami, “Turing Nash Club”, the Mathematics Club of Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus organised the event Sufi Basant, online on MS Teams in the form of poetries and speeches by faculty members and students.
Achieved Outcome
A large number of faculty and students participated in the event with lot of interest. Many students and faculty members recited poetries and also gave speeches, both in honour of Maharaja Suheldev as well as to welcome spring. Many students prepared quite hard for the event, reading up about the life of Maharaja Suheldev and they, in turn, educated the other participants. All participants were made aware of the life of Maharaja Suheldev. Since the objective of the event was to increase awareness, it was definitely achieved.
