Rise and Growth of Social Movements in India and Its Relevance

The Amity Institute of Liberal Arts, Amity University Mumbai successfully organized a lecture on “Rise and Growth of Social Movements in India and Its Relevance” at Amity City Office. The session was delivered by Dr. Laxmi Salvi, Head Dept of History, Kalina Campus, University of Mumbai, who provided a comprehensive overview of the historical evolution of major social movements in India. She thoughtfully highlighted the role of reform, peasant, women’s, and environmental movements in shaping India’s socio-political landscape.
