Amity University Mumbai Organizes Principals Conclave 2019

Principals’ Conclave

 Amity University Mumbai organized its maiden Principals’ Conclave on 5 th December 2019. The event witnessed the presence of some extremely prominent educationists and had thought provoking panel discussions by them through the day. The conclave kick started with a campus tour for all the guests, followed by the welcome address by Hon’ Vice Chancellor, Dr. D. S. Rao. There were 4 Panel discussions and a presentation that took place during the day on extremely important topics pertaining to the education domain. The guests were extremely pleased with the execution of the event and the hospitality by Amity University Mumbai. As a token of appreciation, all the guests were felicitated with a memento and an Amity University Mumbai kit.

The key note speakers for the event were Mrs. Savita Venkat Chief, Development Officer, Bombay Cambridge International School, Mrs Revathi Srinivasan, Director & Principal of Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School, Dr (Prof) Ketan Vira, Dean Academics GNVS Institute of Management, Dr. Sangeeta N. Srivastava, Principal & CAO Kandivali Education Society and Mr Girish Dalvi, Trustee & Director Operations, Nrityanjali. The topic for 1st round of panel discussion was on Blended Learning. Where Mrs Mrs. Savita Venkat was keynote speaker and moderator of the discussion. Other guest who particippanted in panel discussion were Mrs. Poonam Arora, Principal Bombay Cambridge International School, Andheri (West), Mr. Danish Aga, Co Founder Sky Education, Ms. Sangeeta, Principal St Joseph, Wadala, Ms. Kalpana Adhya, Principal of MP Shah School and Dr. Sagareeka Roy, Industry Leading Academician. 

The second round of panel discussion was on Social Media. During this panel discussion Mrs. Revathi Srinivasan was the keynote speaker and moderator. Ms. Kusum Kanwar, Principal Billabong High International School, MD KK Kids Learning Systems, Dr. Vidya Satish, Director Institute of Comprehensive Education, Ms. Kalyani Konar, Principal S.I.E.S School, Matunga, Deepa Bhushan, Principal C.P Goenka Andheri and Prof Raghav Chari, Dean Amity School of Communications. The third round of panel discussion was on Idea to Improve Higher Education for which Dr. (Prof.) Ketan Vira was the keynote speaker and moderator. To share the views on the same Dr. Ganacharya, Principal Thakur College of Polytechnic, Mr. Inamdar, Chairman of Vishwaniketan Institute of Management Entrepreneurship and Engineering Technology. Dr. Khot, Principal, Father Angle Polytechnic, Dr. Lakshmi Mohan, Director ITM Institute of Management, Kharghar and Abdulrazak. H, Director Anjuman I Islam were invited to be the part of the panel. 

There was also a panel discussion on topic like Gender Issues where Dr. Sangeeta N. Srivastava was keynote speaker and moderator. Accompaning her on the stage to participated for panel discussion were Mrs. Bhageshwari Sharma, Principal Kandivali Education Society, Dr. Hema Mehta, Senior Faculty Tolani College of Commerce, Dr. Seema Negi, Principal Sanjeevani World International School, Dr. Sivagami Bhaskar, Symbiosis College, Dr. Jaya Parekh, Principal Ram Ratna International School and Dr. Ravi Manuja Registrar of Amity University, Mumbai. A presentation on Mantra of Sustainability for Quality education was given by Mr. Girish Dalvi, Trustee & Director Operations, Nrityanjali and is also a Trustee & Chief Administrator Open Forum for Principals, India. 

Overall more than 185 delegates from 145 different institutes participated in this conclave and visibility of Amity University Mumbai brand was prominent among educationists.
