Amity School of Animation and Amity School of Communication organized an international webinar cum online "Workshop on Character Design and Motion Graphics" for the students of Amity University Maharashtra, Mumbai. Animation Students across the world whole-heartedly participated in the webinar asking various questions on animation to the experts.
Mr. Daniel Santos, from Canada motivated students to continue to study animation, while discussing the enormous scope of the field. He said “2D animation is PANDEMIC PROOF” as it is in so much demand even during these stressful times. He said that people are spending 5 hours extra online per week, according to a report from a research agency. Which has opened an array of opportunities for the Animation students. Agency and animation studios are on the lookout for new animators, they are trying to find and connect with them. All the students have to do is to complete their degrees and get ready for Industry. Students must learn to use their tools effectively. Mr. Daniel Santos explained about the use of toon boom software across the world in countries like Asia, Europe, America and Africa Middle east 130+ countries in studios like universal, fox, Nickelodeon, NBC and others.
Mr. Harry Ravelomanantsoa, from South Africa, very diligently discussed about the technical softwares to the students of Amity University, Maharashtra Mumbai. He deeply shared his knowledge on Story Board Pro and Haramony 20 software widely used in the field of animation. He told students that these softwares are flexible and will enhance their artistry in the field of animation. He told the students, “DARE TO BE YOU, DARE TO CREATE” and continue with their technical quest in the field of animation. The sessions were indeed very interesting and insightful for the students of animation. The webinar cum workshop was conducted to increase the quality of animation created by the students at Amity, with an industry perspective.
Mr. Sushil Pawar, from India spoke about the various opportunities at Toon boom. He emphasized on proper training, careers, hiring of animators and storyboard artists etc. He told students to focus on their future in animation. He advised students on having a professional approach right from the start. He shared the animation skills required for beginners, intermediate as well as advanced level of animation in the industry.
Dr. Nima J. John (Officiating Head of Institution) called out for innovation and critical thinking and creativity in the field of Animation. She towards the thanked the International experts for their knowledge and expertise. She also thanked the Patrons Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Chancellor Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Hon’ Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen. V.K Sharma, The Registrar, The Academic Deans, all the animation enthusiast students and her entire TEAM at Amity School of Animation, Amity School of Communication and Amity Film School for making the webinar "Workshop on Character Design and Motion Graphics" a great success.
