General Introduction
GNU Octave is an open source alternative to MATLAB. The short term training program was for the beginners and aimed to introduce the students and the faculties to the open source software and teach them basic commands of GNU Octave such as for matricces and plotting. More than 100 participants from various regions of India had participated in the workshop. The participants were motivated to use open source software wherever possible.
Objective of the Event
• To create awareness about opensource alternative to MATLAB.
• To teach basic commands of GNU Octave.
