Amity School of Engineering and Technology organized 1-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) to upgrade their faculty on use of Autodesk Fusion 360 and introduce the concept of generative design. On Day 1, 7th June 2021, after the DEEP PRAJWALAN & SARASWATI VANDANA, the function was inaugurated by our honourable Chief Guest, Dr. Ramesh Pudale, Program Manager at Autodesk India Pvt. Ltd., Banglore and Dr. Shrikant Charhate, Director-ASET & AIT, Dean-Academics, Amity University Maharashtra at 3:00 pm. The Subject Expert Mr. Mahesh M., Application Engineer, USAM technologies, Banglore, authorized training partner of Autodesk India Pvt. Ltd. blessed the event with their presence. The Dept. coordinator, Mr. Shivaji S. briefed about the schedule of the program and inspired students by introducing guests and their domain knowledge in Design & Manufacturing.
The tradition of ASET to upgrade the skillset of their faculty had recontinued with this FDP for 5 days till 11th June, 2021. This FDP was a huge success as there were 45 participants registered and 25 have attended from various campuses of Amity University using the virtual platform MS-Teams.
Dr. Ramesh Pudale is very popular CAM trainer from Autodesk India Pvt. Ltd. He explained benefits of automation in manufacturing and the solutions provided by Autodesk to various industries. Dr. Pudale handover the session to expert speaker Mr. Mahesh M. upon his short promo presentation.
Mr. Mahesh M., the Application Engineer at USAM technology, an authorized training partner of Autodesk India Pvt Ltd presented pre-ready case-studies to demonstrate use of various tools available in Software Autodesk Fusion 360. He covered Day:1 Import of files, sketch tools, Day: 2 Part Modelling, Assembly joints & motion links, Day 3: Documentation, Exploded View, Simulation, Rendering, Day: 4 Generative Design and Day: 5 manufacturing. The faculty were so enthusiastic to learn new techniques that are in use with Industries. There was fruitful conversation each day during Q&A at the end of session. The exercises were provided for hands on practice. Each day, the subject expert was brining something new to learn. On Day 5, 11th June 2021 Dr. Amol Kamble delivered votes of thanks and concluded the FDP with summary of the program. The FDP is over after announcement for group screenshot.
