A one day weekend trek was organized by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Mumbai to Karnala Bird Sanctuary, Panvel, Dist- Raigad. This was held on 07th May 2022. The trip was organized and managed by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism (AITT).
A total of 9 students from Minor Track Tourism course were part of this trip and were accompanied by 1 faculty member. It was an exciting and fun learning experience for the students in areas of Adventure travel, tangible and intangible heritage of India, variety of species of birds, handling of a group trek, utilization of natural resources, implementation of an itinerary on field and motivation to travel.
The outcome of this trek was that students learned real life experiences i.e., when you help someone else you achieve great things, the natural environment helped students overcome various obstacles on their own which turned out to be a great boost to their self-confidence.
Students have alwyas shown great interest in similar outdoor based activities and have promised their participation in such future events
