Amity University Mumbai Conducted Seminar Cum Workshop On The Future Perspectives Of Applied Science & Technology

Workshop Participants

As we all know, science is the systematic study of everything around us both living and non-living things. Technology on the other hand is the makes use of science in the collection of techniques, process, method or production of new developments which can be useful to man. Science and technology has made our lives easier since bulky work can be done within a short period of time and less stressful with the help of machine. Science and technology has also made our transportation faster than in the olden days where people walk and some ride on animals like horse before getting to their final destination which can even take months but now, you can easily get to where you are going with short period of time or hours and not months especially when traveling by air. As science and technology give us a positive side it also has a negative side which affects human life.

The objective of the event was to:

1) By organizing this seminar cum workshop we intend to clear the basic concepts of applied sciences among the emerging research scholar and PG students and faculty especially in the field of Nano technology and soft materials.

2) To explore and understand the instrumental and analytical techniques.

3) To understand gaps in Theory and Practice.

The future of Applied Sciences and Technology is widening at fast pace and altering the scenario of existing world. The workshop aims to showcase the infinite boundaries in the field of nano science, environmental sustainability through invited lectures and hands on experience on material modeling and environmental biotechnology. The students are awared about the future technology and aspects about the applied sciences through the lectures. The participants were actively involved in the hands on experience and invited lectures. The workshop was successful to achieve the desired goal, as the students are interacted with the Scientist Praveen Walke from Nanoscience and Technology from Mumbai University and Dr Kamendra Sharma from IIT Mumbai.
