Amity University Mumbai Celebrated World Tourism Day 2019

 On 27th September 2019, on account of World Tourism day. A ‘Travel Simulation’ was arranged by the students of Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism in lieu of this year’s theme ‘Tourism and Jobs: A Better Future for all’. The aim of this travel simulation was to showcase the major stakeholders in the tour operations business, the beneficiaries out of tourism and various themes in tourism. The travel simulation was majorly divided into four parts:

  • Airline Simulation
  • Hotel Room Simulation
  • Destination Simulation
  • Handmade art stalls / Souvenir simulation
Apart from these core elements, various other entities were a part of the ‘Simulated Tour’ to string everything together such as travel consultant desk, travel agent desk, tour managers on the simulation, car rental desk, folk dancer and musician. Concurring with this year’s theme, blogging, v-logging and photography competitions were organized as a way to showcase and enable active participation in these emerging trends of the tourism industry. The event was highly regarded by the Amity University, Mumbai Universe as well as from the other attendees, the fact clearly evident from the positive written feedbacks in receipt.
