Amity University Jharkhand organised “Festive Vibes” on 3rd Nov 2018
Amity University, Jharkhand organized a festival of festivals, entitled “Festive Vibes”, to welcome the upcoming festive season. This was a major event organized by Admission & Marketing Team of AUJ on 3rd Nov 2018, with several well-known schools and colleges of the city participating in it. The event was announced open by our Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Sir. Participants enthusiastically participated in competitions like rangoli-making, pot-painting, toran-making, T-Shirt designing, fruit bowl/salad-making, face-painting etc. The motto of the festival was to spread unity, happiness, and joy throughout Ranchi by involving students from different schools and colleges to participate and showcase their creativity in various fields.
The participating schools and colleges were St. Xavier’s College, Rabindra Nath Tagore College, Yogada College, DAV Hehal, Magadh University and Amity University, Jharkhand. The first position for Rangoli was bagged by Sonali Raj and a team from AUJ, closely followed by Sufia, Amrita, Atiya, Mampi from St. Xavier’s who came second. Ankita and team from AUJ came third. Pot-painting competition witnessed immense creativity on display and finally, Riya and team from AUJ emerged winners; Upasana and team from DAV, Hehal bagged the second position and Atiya & Sufia from St.Xavier’s came third. The winner of face-painting was Shraddha Shree from AUJ. Ankit Acharya from Yogada College won the T-shirt designing competition. Anjali Kashyap and Subham Kumar from St. Xavier’s College came second and Yukti and Ayush from AUJ came third. In the toran-making contest, Priyanka and a team from AUJ emerged victoriously.
Respected Director Sir, Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey appreciated the students’ efforts and urged them to keep up the good work. It was indeed a task to judge the contest and decide winners, as every entry stood out in itself with its dash of creativity and innovative spirit. In the end, winners were awarded mementoes and certificates. The session came to an end with a Vote of Thanks to all the students and team of AUJ, who made the event possible.
