GAME ONN- An Indoor Sports Day at AMITY UNIVERSITY JHARKHAND
The GAME ONN, an indoor sports day was organized at Amity University Jharkhand on 21st April 201.The main objective of the programme was to draw the student's attention to the benefits and importance of indoor games like chess , ludo etc. The chief guests of the event were Mr.Kumar Roushan Patel (Chief Arbitrator, Ranchi Revolution), Mr.Vivek Kumar Chowdhary (Asst. Arbitrator, Ranchi Revolution), Mr.Deepak Kumar (Referee Table-Tennis,Ranchi Revolution).Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Hon’ble Vice -Chancellor, Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey ,Respected Director of Amity University and Mr. P.K Tripathi, Respected Registrar, AUJ, graced the occasion with their presence and words of wisdom . The program started with the effective words of Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey who said, “Life is similar to a game of chess, where we take risk with just one motive of winning”. He also motivated the students to be connected with the indoor games as it sharpens the mind. After this, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Sir, Dr. Raman Kumar Jha reiterated the importance of sports in life and said, “one must play some or the other sport in addition to routine daily activities. Let the sweat come out from the body because as you grow older you'll have less time for sports, unless you take it as a career option” He gave examples of famous sports personalities like Virat Kohli and Dhoni and motivated the participants and the students to keep indulging in sports activities and maintain a healthy body with a healthy mind..
