AMITY UNIVERSITY JHARKHAND ORGANISES A TWO-DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR ON "REAL WORLD APPLICATION OF MATHEMATICS AND STATISTICS"
Be it studies or real life, Mathematics has great importance and value. Its applications are everywhere.We require mathematics for doing or completing almost all tasks and challenges. With this view Amity University Jharkhand organized a two-day National Seminar on Mathematics and its real world applications, on 2ndofMay, 2019.
The guests for the event were two eminent scholars of Mathematics who shared their knowledge and experience with the students and faculty members of the University. Dr.P.K. Srivastava from IIT Patna, explained about the invention and functionality of the mathematical symbol PI. Dr. J.K.Tanti, from Central University Jharkhand said, "We tend to learn a lot from our lives and there's no limit of learning or gaining" and shared his experience of learning and the importance of mathematics in everyday life
"The invention of Zero (0) was a very important contribution of Brahmagupta who was an Indian. Whether in the field of Physics or Mathematics Indians are very proud to have such great Mathematicians like Brahmagupta", said Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr.Raman Kumar Jha. "Mathematics plays a very crucial and essential rolenot only in education, but also in every aspect of life", remarked, Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director of the University. Registrar of the University, Mr. P.K. Tripathi delivered the Vote of Thanks to the guests on the 1st day of the seminar.
The second day started with the technical sessions on Stochastic Differential Equation by Dr. P. S. Mandal from NIT Patna, Digital Signature Scheme by Dr. J. Tanti from Central University Jharkhand. A poster presentation by students on real life implementation of Mathematics was also organized.
The seminar was huge success as it efficiently addressed the unique theme of Mathematics as a useful tool in our life. The program came to an end with the Valedictory session.
