  1. Certificate Course  in Business Management

    (a) Objective: After completion of the course the participant can easily be employed in marketing & sales, HR & business development functions in the corporate sector. This course will also assist those who wish to start their own ventures.

    (b) Syllabus: Economics analysis and policy, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Organization Behavior, Manufacturing & Materials Management, Marketing Management, Legal aspects in Management, Managerial computing, Business research methods, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Strategic Management, Industrial Marketing, Service Marketing, Human Resources Management, Communication & Presentation Skills Financial Management, Sales and Distribution Management, Operations Management, Retail Management, Managing Conflicts & Negotiations, Entrepreneurship Development, Management Information System.                                                                                                         

  1.  DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT

     (a)  Objective: 

    Student Officers & PBOR on termination of the Certificate Course in       Business Management (24 Weeks) have the option to earn a Diploma in Management.          Towards this the education will continue for a further period of 6 months, which is off         campus; at the end of which a dissertation is to be submitted. It would thus enable the   candidate to have completed studies over a total period of 12 months which is required           for the fulfillment of the award of a Diploma, as per UGC norms.

    (b)   The following terms and conditions shall apply :-

    • Individual should have passed 10 + 2.
    • Reasonable fluency in English (written and spoken).
    • At least 50% marks in the course have to be secured for the award of diploma.
    • A fee of Rs 5000/- is to be deposited prior to the commencement of studies for the award of Diploma.



  1. Certificate in Management of Academic Institutions
    (a)  Objective

    An ideal course for those looking for a second career as Middle Level         Administrative Staff in an Educational Institution. During the 12 weeks exposure would         be given on Management Strategies, ancillaries, regulatory bodies, finance &         administration. Further an in-sight will be given into planning, methods & procedures and       infrastructure requirement for opening of a school / college. Demands for educational      institutions is never ending, and is on the increase by the day and therefore affords good       second career option.

    (b)  Syllabus Institutional level management, management of education & role of state     policies, inventory management & budgeting, maintenance of records & registers, time      table management, handling accidental situations, general overview of all national level advisory & regulation bodies, arrangement & organization of co- curricular activities ,    school function, sports day, annual day, carnivals, fete, seminars, conferences, hobby       clubs & academic clubs, management of school auxiliary services, canteen, mess, hostel,    transport, security, bookshop, uniform shop ,general sanitation & health education.

 


  1.   Legal Assistants Course. This 14 week course has been introduced to assist JCOs & ORs from clerical cadre for job opportunities in the Courts / Advocates. As part of practical training an attachment for four weeks will be required, where the individual is given an insight to the functioning of the Courts.

 

  1. Small Business/ Rural Entrepreneur. This 16 weeks course is for personnel who wish to start their own rural enterprise. During  the course  exposure is given on Rural Entrepreneurship Development Programmes, Project Identification and Selection, Fundamentals of Management of an Enterprise & Government Policies.  Opportunities for rural entrepreneurs is growing where an individual can function and earn within the comfort of his residence.
  1.   Project Finance Management:  What is a Project? The Project Life Cycle & its  impact of Feasibility, Project Planning Techniques, Project Quality factors, Measurement of Project Performance, Importance of Proper allocation of          resources at Corporate Level, at unit Level, Generation of Project ideas, Creativity, Market & Demand Analysis, Target market, Choice of Market Strategy, Projection of Demand using Primary and Secondary Data, using Quantitative Models, Technical Analysis – Selection of Appropriate Technology, Acquisition of Technology, Process of Procurement of material, Choice of Location, Design of Layout for Facilities at Project Site; Financial Analysis – Cost of the Project, Means of Finance, Estimation of working Capital, Profitability Estimations, Balance Sheet Projections, Projection of Sources and Use of Funds;  Environmental Appraisal of Projects – Meaning of Environment & Pollution, Pollution created by different industries, Methods of preventing Pollution,         Environmental Regulations, Environmental Impact Assessment for Projects;   Social Cost Benefit Analysis – Rational of SCBA, Different Approaches to SCBA, Methods used for SCBA by Financial Institutions, Public Sector Investments; Structuring of the Projects – How Project Structure create Value, Application of Portfolio theories to Capital Budgeting;  Valuation of Projects – By Discounting, Non Discounting Criteria, FCF Approach, ERR Approach; Managing Project    Risks – how risk management creates Value in Project Finance, What is Risk, Types of Risk, measurement of Risk, Incorporating Risk into capital Budgeting;    Financing the Projects – Syndication, Leverage Leases, Debt Instruments, Equator Principles, Securitizing Project Loans;  Project Reports – Preparation of     Detailed Project Reports, making financial Projections – Case Studies;”

  1. Placement Assistance Provided by Amity  University.
    Placement assistance is provided to officers, JCOs & ORs. We are proud of the Armed     Forces personnel who have been placed in leading organizations like GE, HSBC, HCL, Rolta, Tech Mahindra, JP Industries, ATS Infrastructure Group 4 Securities, Crewboss, Ashiana, L&T, Shahi Exporters, HEB International amongst many others.

ADMINISTRATION

  1.    a. For Officers:R   Limited single officers accommodation is available in proximity. Details are available with Director Hostel(Admin) (Mob No: 9810502872 which can be hired by the officers directly.

       b. For JCOs & OR   Free transport, accommodation & subsidized messing is provided to the JCOs & OR undergoing 24 Weeks Course in Noida Campus. However, candidates are required to pay for the 6 months a sum of Rs 12,000/- towards messing and utilization of Amity Hostel facilities. This amount is to be deposited in two installments ; i.e. Rs 6,000/- at time of reporting and the balance on completion of three months. Those students who wish to stay outside under own arrangements will be required to deposit 50% of the amount ieRs3000/- on joining and an equal amount after 3 months, this is for Lunch & refreshment provided in the campus which is mandatory for all.

    Those attending short courses hostel accommodation can be provided subject to availability.
