MOOT COURT SOCIETY

Mooting aims at imparting excellence in legal education to prepare high quality law professionals capable of facing legal challenges with confidence. The Moot Court Society of Amity Law School, Noida molds the students to become star litigators of tomorrow. Amity Law School, Noida from its very inception recognized the significant role of Moot Courts for providing all students with opportunities to benefit extensively from this crucial training tool. The Moot Court participation stimulates teamwork and honing up their communication skills. Moot court competition is a specially formulated legal exercise to fathom the expertise of law students in International Law, Human Rights, Law of War and other allied instruments. Success in the legal profession is primarily dependent on adroit articulation skills deftly interwoven with sturdy analytical skills, fortified with supreme confidence, meticulous precision and quick repartee. The main purposes of Moot Court Society are-

  • To provide an ideal training arena to dexterously develop these young legal stalwarts in the making and provide the perfect array of opportunities for to hone and fine tune their skills, enabling them to dazzle in the legal arena.
  • To govern all Moot Court related activities like hosting and participating in Moot Court Competitions. Its aim is to enrich students in practical application of law in real life situations. Every year International Moot Court Competition are organized in which teams from across the globe participate. It aims to make legal studies more research based and practice oriented.
  • To devote itself to excellence in written and oral advocacy, providing students with the synergistic opportunity to supplement their theoretical knowledge with practical experience in the dynamic realms of oral advocacy.
  • To organize a wide range of activities and deliver superlative performances not merely in regional and national but also in international competitions ranging from moot court competitions, client counselling, judicial analysis, mediation, negotiations and law fests all over the country.

Over the years, the students have gathered a dazzling array of awards in reputed and prestigious competitions, namely the Baroda School of Legal Studies Moot Court Competition, CDR-NLUD International Moot Court Competition, NCR Lloyd Human rights Moot Court Competition, GGSIP Client Counselling Competition, Nirma University Moot Court Competition, NLS-ADR national competition, ITMU Law School Moot Court Competition, Amity Law School Moot Court Competition and RLC Saquib Rizvi National Moot Court competition.

Amity Law School's Moot Court Society is a vibrant and interactive and dynamic society entity geared for any challenge or opportunity that comes its way. It is equipped with an array of talented students who make the society a paramount important center of ALSN.


LEGAL AID AND LITERACY COMMITTEE

The Legal Awareness & Literary Committee of Amity Law School was established in 2011 with the solemn objective of providing information, awareness, and legal help to the marginalized sections of society.

The activities of the committee have received widespread acknowledgement since its incorporation in 2011. The main aim of the committee is to spread awareness regarding various Socio-Legal issues existing in the society. The Committee spreads awareness for the people who are not fortunate enough to gain such legal sources and knowledge. It is also an endeavor to provide them with various means and steps for uplifting them. It helps the students to understand the legal issues and problems that exist in the community and to provide legal aid.


CULTURAL SOCIETY

The cultural society of Amity Law School organizes and manages diversified and unique cultural events. The purpose is to keep Indian culture, festivals and important dates alive in the hearts of the students and faculty members and inspire the students to showcase their skills and talents in various platforms. The institute provides guidance and binds the student's community together. Society also provides a recreational environment which aims to keep our interests in culture alive. The students participate in different cultural fests in the country.


DEBATE CLUB

"Checkmate" the official debating society of Amity Law School, Noida is the flag bearer for promoting the Debating Culture at the University Level. For years society is known for serving a stage for exchanging ideas on various issues of national and global importance. To engage the pole apart inquisitive voices the society organizes various flagship debating events annually that attracts footsteps from universities globally.


HINDI MANCH

Pioneer society working towards the upliftment of Hindi language and also working in course to provide insightful education on legal Hindi as an important subject for the budding lawyers. Under this society different types of activities are carried out to propagate the uses of Hindi in the legal profession.


GENDER JUSTICE AND CHILD RIGHTS CELL

Amity Centre for Gender Justice and Child Rights is an initiation by Amity Law School Noida with an aim to sensitize the people around us who shows gender inequality. Achieving gender equality is important to let men and women have equal opportunities, rights and obligations both in their private and public lives. Many activities are organized under the cell to spread the message of "Nari Shakti" and equality.


STUDENT BAR FORUM/HINDI MOOT COURT SOCIETY

The Student Bar Forum of Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida, is a scholar body has been established to organize and to promote student welfare and development of legal persona. The Forum conducts activities such as Moot Court Competitions, Legal Quiz, and Trial Advocacy Tournaments etc. The BAR consistently hosts the-only language specific moot of the country i.e. the Hindi Moot Court Competition since 2013.


ADR SOCIETY

Driven by the Mission, Vision and Passion of our respected Founder President and Chancellor, Amity Law School, ADR Society has trodden the path of excellence through proactive and excellent delivery of contents through innovative pedagogy manifested by the achievements of the pass out law graduates. The Alternative Dispute Resolution Society (‘ADR Society”) of Amity Law School Noida works towards harnessing the efforts of students towards the goal of ADR processes through student initiatives, competitions and intellectual discourse. It includes mediation-arbitration, negotiation, and client counselling as the means for the same.

The key features of the ADR society are-

  • To put emphasis on imbibing various valuable virtues and traits ie. intuition, instinct, flexibility, creativity, concern, human values and absolute dedication among its students.
  • To provide a combination of the qualities that greatly help the students to create a distinguished identity for themselves in the legal arena both nationally and globally.
  • To make ADR society one of its kinds where the students act as enactors to get the real time feel of the system of Mediation and Arbitration.
  • To make ADR the preferred mode of dispute resolution among the government agencies as well as private parties. The flexibility of the law and the procedure for arbitration in India makes it a preferred option for resolution of any disputes as it provides speedy and effective recovery.

Amity Mock Parliament is not just an event, it is an archetype of the dream that the founding members of this society visualize which now culminated into this burgeoning occasion that is most awaited by the rhetoricians all over the country.


INTERNSHIP AND PLACEMENT (Corporate Resource Center)

The Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) of the institute organizes various events from time to time to bridge the wide gap between industry and academia. The aim of these events is to give an exposure to the students to make them industry-ready by providing an interactive platform.

The Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) plays an important and vital role in shaping the careers of students from their induction and orientation, summer internships, mid-term projects, right to their final placements and even beyond. CRC also undertakes various academic and non-academic initiatives so that students are well equipped to meet varied industry requirements.

The Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) encourages and welcomes active participation of students from all the programs of Amity Law School, Noida. These students, under the supervision of faculty team, engage in various activities, recruitment drives, corporate interactions and plan events towards career aspirations of the students. CRC students support the cell with their innovative ideas, persuasive skills, confidence, and high energy levels which has been a great asset to the team.
