Ranchi, July 18, 2023: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programmes, GAIL (India) Limited today launched a project to improve the education, health, and nutrition facilities at S.S. Doranda Government Girls High School (+2) level, Doranda here. The project, inaugurated by Shri Ayush Gupta, Director (Human Resources), GAIL, aims to encourage the girl child to pursue school education by making upgraded facilities available to them.

The project is being implemented in partnership with Amity Humanity Foundation. Ms Pooja Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Humanity Foundation, Shri Shayamalendu Niyogi, Director General, Amity Humanity Foundation, Shri Anoop Gupta, Executive Director (CSR & HR), GAIL and other senior executives of GAIL and the Ranchi District Administration were present at the inauguration programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ayush Gupta, the Chief Guest, said, “Education is the foundation of a progressive nation and through initiatives like ours, we contribute to building a strong and empowered India. By focusing on the holistic development of students, we aim to equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge and values that will enable them to excel in all spheres of life.”

He encouraged the students to make the best use of the facilities being developed to expand the horizons of their knowledge.

As part of the project, awareness workshops, check-up camps and seminars on the theme of health and nutrition will be conducted, infrastructure facilities such landscaping of the school and upgradation of school science labs, installation of water purifiers will be undertaken along with organization of science exhibition to encourage the girl child to pursue careers in the field of STEM.
