Healthy Heroes
Suhani Chauhan (IV A) and Gunek Singh Chaddha (VI B) from the school were declared the
Immuno Champs in a survey conducted by Dabur India. The school was one among the 50
healthiest schools out of 4000 schools in India, declared by Dabur. The countrywide
survey to check health status among children was based on parameters such as,
attendance, academics, infrastructure, etc.

Olympiad Achiever
Archit Boobna of Class X C made the school proud by winning a Gold medal at the 13th
IJSO (International Junior Science Olympiad) held at Bali, Indonesia, funded by Govt
of India. A total of 48 countries participated in this Science Olympiad with subjects
like Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Amity Awarded for Best Educational Services
Education Services Organization, a futuristic initiative of Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan,
Chairperson Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, that aims to provide the best educational
services and add value to the existing educational curriculum, was awarded the
Cambridge English Award for the Best Preparation Centre for the year 2015-2016 for
Innovation and Growth. The award was conferred by Cambridge English.

Global winners of The Future Young Entrepreneurs (FYE) Project
A team of five students from AIS PV bagged first prize at the Global Round of The Future Young Entrepreneurs
(FYE) Project 2016 at Berlin. The opportunity extended by Dr. (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group
of Schools and RBEF under the aegis Amity Educational Resource Centre (AERC) aimed at encouraging the
entrepreneurial spirit in young people while providing them with an insight into vocational, economic and
social structures. The team faced tough competition from 13 other teams from 7 countries across the world.

Celebrating Hindi Divas
Date: September 14, 2016
To celebrate the Hindi Diwas, the school organised a 'hasya kavi sammelan' . Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson,
Amity Group of Schools & RBEF, who firmly believes that it is important to learn Hindi language to understand our
culture and traditions, graced the occasion with her presence. The day witnessed teachers from different schools
recite self-composed humorous poems on the topic, 'Sakaratmak Soch'. The laughter gags and epic punch lines made
everyone laugh their hearts out. The poems carried a social message along with the amusing anecdotes. The
presentations were judged by a panel of esteemed literary stalwarts as Mahinder Sharma, former Sub Editor of Dainik
Hindustan and Durgesh Awasthi, a renowned poet. Neha Sharma of AIS Saket and Rachna Chaudhary of AIS PV bagged the
first and second prize respectively.

Janmashtami celebration
Date: August 24, 2016
The school celebrated Janmashtami by conducting a special assembly in the
school premises. The assembly began with the recitation of shlokas and
poetry in Hindi on 'Bal roop of Lord Krishna' followed by enactment and
narration of the story of the birth of Lord Krishna. The students of Class
I energetically enacted the scenes with pomp and gaiety. Little girls and
boys dressed up as Gopi and Radha, performed raas leela on different songs.
The assembly culminated with a message- Janmashtami is a festival that
encourages goodwill and togetherness.

Our visionary Chairperson Dr(Mrs.)Amita Chauhan has always inspired the Amitians to express their gratitude for their nation while developing as global citizens of the world. Patriotism peaked to coveted heights when Students of Amity International School, Pushp Vihar went for a video making competition on the Spirit of Independence held at Amity International School, Mayur Vihar on 6th October'2016 where they secured the third position. The auditorium was full of exuberance with budding videographers, editors and narrators. The judges were Assistant Professors from Amity school of Communication and their adroitness was evident through their enriching remarks. They gave the students brilliant points to incorporate for their future projects. The event was a phenomenal success with deserving winners and the students went back home with the gift of experience.

DK QUIZ
Dorling Kindersley, a renowned name in the publishing industry for children's books organised a General Knowledge quiz on 7th October 2016. Students of classes VIII & IX took part in the quiz. After the written round, six teams went into the final round. Raghav Pardasani and Aditya Chugh of class VIII were declared the winners. They will now be participating in the Regional Round.

UL-NSSQ 2016 Contest at National Science Safety Quiz, Delhi
Amity Pushp Vihar participated in UL-NSSQ 2016 Contest (National Science Safety
Quiz) conducted by UL-NDTV. Round 1 was a city Level Round held in 5 cities-
Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi-NCR. The Quiz aims to improve
awareness about safety in all aspects among school children from classes 9 to 12
across the country. Out of the over 1000 students from all over Delhi NCR, Amity Pv
students were among the top 90. Round 2 was conducted at Amity Pushp Vihar. Again
our students came in the top 6 out of these. And FINALLY. Amity Pushp Vihar stood
third at the regional round.

DaDate: June 27-28, 2016
Nine students participated in Tagore International School as the delegation of Afghanistan and Syria in various committees. Tanmay Pharlia received a Special Mention in the UN Security Council. Kabir Arora and Siddhant Verma received Verbal Mentions in the UN General Assembly and the Reserve Bank of India respectively.

Social Science competition

Students of AIS Pushp Vihar added another feather to Amity’s embellished hat by winning the overall rolling trophy at the ‘Gloria Humanitas 2016’ - a social science competition, held on July 16, 2016 at Gyan Bharati School, Saket. The competition was based on the life of Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Inter Amity Debate Tournament
AIS PV hosted the 1st Annual Inter-Amity Debate Tournament that saw the culmination of a five-day long debating workshop, organised by Amity Educational Resource Centre across all the branches of Amity International Schools. 16 students participated in the competition which was divided into three rounds- individual speech round, open debate or ‘Rebuttal’ round and the final round which was again, an open debate round between participants who made it to the second round. The first position was bagged by Harsh Shekhar, AIS Gur 43; the second prize was won by Sai Srijan, AIS Noida and the third prize (Special Mention) was secured by Shreya Ghosh, AIS PV.
The workshop was conducted by an eminent Danish debater, specially invited by Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, to nurture Amitians as eloquent speakers.

AIS PV Student Wins Brain Bee World Championship
VaVaibhav Bajaj of Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, secured seventh position
among top 10 from all over the world at the 18th Brain Bee World Championship held
in Copenhagen, Denmark. The neuroscience quiz, organised in conjunction with the
10th FENS forum of Neuroscience, was conducted in three phases – regional, national
and international. The finale held in Copenhagen, saw participants from 26 countries
in the age group of 15-17 years, with credentials in Biology being quizzed for three
days. Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools & RBEF, lauded
the young champ’s efforts and encouraged him to outdo his achievements in the future.

Ignited Spirits: Annual Theatre Competition
DaDate: May 5 - 6, 2016
With the objective to boost self confidence and hone public speaking skills, the school organised its annual theatre competition tiltled ‘Ignited Spirits’. The competition conducted at two levels – junior and senior saw 20 schools take part in the same. The theme of the event was ‘A rolling stone gathers no moss’ for the juniors and ‘Virtue wins over vice’ for seniors. The fest adjudged by eminent personalities from the field of theatre saw Amity International School, Gur 46 bag the rolling trophy. The host school won the first and second prize in the junior and senior category respectively.
