My research focuses on molecular understanding of a) the development of the skin and its communication with other organs in maintaining body integrity, and b) how these processes are altered in diseases. I will specifically investigate two common diseased conditions: psoriasis and diabetic wounds. My aim is to explore the role of lysosomes (endo-lysosomal pathway) in these processes and their suitability as a potential therapeutic target for the long term.

To examine this hypothesis, we will use multi-scale models, including cells, organoids, and patient tissues. We will employ biochemical methods and advanced imaging techniques, such as fluorescence microscopy, high-resolution microscopy, and electron microscopy.
