Established in 2018, the Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP) is a constituent unit of Amity University Madhya Pradesh and is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The institute offers a comprehensive range of programmes in pharmaceutical education, including:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) – a two-year diploma course designed to prepare students for careers in community and hospital pharmacy.

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) – a four-year undergraduate programme providing a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare.

  • Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) with specialisations in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology, enabling advanced learning and research in formulation development, drug delivery, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacological screening.

  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, promoting cutting-edge research and innovation in drug discovery, novel formulations, and interdisciplinary healthcare solutions.

Amity Institute of Pharmacy comprises four academic departments that collectively work towards the discovery of novel drugs and the development of innovative formulations, evaluated through preclinical and clinical studies to improve healthcare outcomes.

The curriculum emphasizes a balance of theory, practical, and research exposure, integrating lectures, seminars, tutorials, problem-based learning, clinical case studies, laboratory and dispensing sessions, site visits, computer-assisted learning, online assignments, communication skills, and career planning modules. A highlight of the programmes is the student research project, which provides one-to-one mentorship and hands-on research experience. The institute is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, technology-enabled classrooms, and dedicated research facilities that foster interactive and experiential learning. Students are also encouraged to undertake industrial training and practice school courses, particularly during the pre-final year, to enhance industry readiness. At AIP, strong emphasis is placed on career development and placements through structured training, mock interviews, and professional guidance. Graduates and researchers from AIP are well-prepared to pursue diverse opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical and hospital settings, research organizations, regulatory bodies, and academia, both in India and abroad.

Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)

Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Madhya Pradesh is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for conducting B. Pharm Course.

The Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA)

Amity University Madhya Pradesh is recognized by The Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA), a statutory committee of Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (AH&D), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAH&D), Government of India, constituted under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960 for the purpose of ‘Research for Education Purpose on Small Animals’. (File No: 25/12/2017-CPCSEA).

AUMP Institutional Animal Ethics Committee

The Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) of AUMP periodically meets to clear projects on laboratory animals of various investigators of the different departments of the Institute. The animal house has different sections for each species e. g., Rats, Mice, Guinea Pigs, and Rabbits to avoid disease transmission and inter-species conflicts. The animal rooms are supplied with exhaust fans and air conditioning for fresh air exchange in animal rooms with sufficient lighting and uninterrupted power and water supply. The animal house facility boosts the academic and research environment in the emergent fields of experimental pharmacology, molecular biology and toxicology. The facility is to assist the investigators with the ethical usage of animals for their research while maintaining compliance with the CCSEA. Qualified members of the faculty are always at hand to help in research and keep it following the standards established by CCSEA. The Animal House provides pre-clinical testing in conformity with national and international regulatory guidelines.

Memorandum of Understanding

Amity University Madhya Pradesh signed Memorandum Of Understanding with Asian Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (AIMST) University Malaysia, Yenelik Foundation represented by IFIA Bharat office, Bengaluru and Posspole Pvt. Ltd., Bengalaru, India. The MOU's aim at fostering academic, research, and cultural exchanges between AUMP and these institutions. These agreements embody the shared vision and commitment towards enhancing educational quality, innovation, and global connectivity.
