Amity Institute of Pharmacy under the aegis of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus, observed 151st birth anniversary of “The Father of the Nation” on 2nd October 2020 at 11.00 am on a virtual platform (MS teams) with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The event began with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Suneela Dhaneshwar, Director AIP, Deputy Dean of Research (S & T). Following that, the honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus, Prof. (Dr.) Sunil Dhaneshwar, conveyed the note to trail the route of congruence and peace as preached by Mahatma Gandhi. He also said that we must take this day to reminisce a man who is receptive in a gigantic way for the kindness, truth, non-violence, resilience, simplicity and peace taught to the whole world. The highlight of today’s celebration was “E-Poster making competition” preordained for the students in which 15 students participated and expressed their views on Gandhi Ji’s philosophy. The competition was judged by two eminent faculties of AIP, Dr. Zesshan Fatima and Dr. Alok S. Tripathi of AIP. Urooj Fatima, of Pharm D, 2nd year, counted the 1st position in this competition. The position of 1st runners up was shared by two students namely, Shristhi Shandily (Pharm D, 2nd year) and Sejal Porwal (B. Pharm, 3rd year). The position of 2nd runners up was occupied by Ratnakar Mishra (Pharm D 2nd year). More than 150 students and faculties of the campus adorned this event with their online attendance on MS teams. The student coordinators Ishani and Abhishek Dwivedi of 4th year B. Pharma under the able guidance of the cultural coordinators of AIP, Ms. Pranati Srivastava and Ms. Richa Srivastava organized and coordinated this splendid event in the most heightened mode. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks offered by Ms. Richa Srivastava and ended with a patriotic feeling in the hearts of all students and faculties.
