Celebration of Mission Shakti an initiative launched by UP government

 Amity Institute of Pharmacy,Lucknow Campus, celebrated Mission Shakti on 24th October 2020 at 04.00 pm on a virtual platform (MS teams) with great zeal and enthusiasm. Mission Shakti 6-month-long women empowerment programme launched    by UP government

to raise awareness and tackle crime against women in the state. The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Manju Agarwal, Dean Student Welfare, Prof of Psychology AUUP Lucknow Campus.

The guest Dr. Anuradha Jaju, Entrepreneur, Clinical Psychologist & Motivational Speaker delivered her session on the topic: “Women safety: A Gender -neutral Responsibility. Oath for the safety for girls was also taken by the male students as well as parents of both girls & boys’ students.

      It was then followed by poetry recitation and slogan writing competitions for the students.

     The competition was judged by Dr. Mala Tondon, Dy Director Amity School of Education and Prof. (Dr.) Asita Kulshreshtha, Professor, Coordinator and Head, Amity School of Applied Sciences.

In Slogan writing competition Soeb Ahmad (Pharm D 1st year) and Ayushi Mishra (Pharm D 1st year), counted the 1st position. Kunal Raj (B. Pharm 1st Sem) and Sejal Porwal (B. Pharm 3rd Sem) secured 2nd & 3rd position respectively.

In poetry recitation (self- composed) competition, Abhishek Chaturvedi (B. Pharm 7th Sem), Kunal Raj (B. Pharm 1st Sem) and Ayushi Mishra (Pharm D 1st year) secured 1st, 2nd & 3rd position respectively. In Poetry Competition (Recitation) category Abhishek Dwivedi (B. Pharm 5th Sem), Chetanshi Gupta (B. Pharm 3rd Sem) and Urooj (Pharm D 2nd year) secured 1st, 2nd & 3rd position respectively.

Prof. (Dr.) Suneela Dhaneshwar, Director AIP, Deputy Dean of Research (S & T) Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus addressed the students and appreciated their performance in both the events. Judges also congratulated the winners and participants. The strength was 115 on Ms teams.

All first semester students of AIP and faculties adorned this event on MS teams. The PSHC student coordinators B. Pharma under the guidance of the PSHC coordinators of AIP, Dr. Nimisha and Ms. Shruti Srivastava organized and coordinated this splendid event. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks offered by Dr Nimisha.
