Amity Institute of Pharmacy under the aegis of Amity University Uttar Pradesh Lucknow Campus organized a webinar on “Culture of Quality in Pharmaceutical Industry and how the NextGen should ready itself.” by Mr Zoher Sihorwala, Head-Global Regulatory Affairs, Wockhardt Ltd., Aurangabad. The webinar was held on 19th May, 2020 on WeBex platform. Prof. Dr. Suneela Dhaneshwar, Director AIP & Dy Dean Research coordinated this webinar. The event was attended by 111 participants from academia, industry and research institutes Pan-India.
The objectives of the event were:
1. To provide an overview of concept of quality and demands /expectations of industry from new joiners
2. To enlighten the students on different ways and means by which they can prepare themselves to adapt to the culture of quality in industry.
3. To render knowledge about latest trends in quality like QBD
Students got an insight into the quality concept, how this deep rooted concept is an inherent culture at industry, guidelines of various regulatory bodies about quality of all processes involved from raw material to the finished product.
AIP is planning to sign a MOU with a skill development agency recommended by the speaker to train them for interviews and ensure their industry-readiness
