A guest lecture on the topic ‘Packaging Development’ was structured on 4th May 2020 by AIP for students of B.Pharm and M.Pharm Specialized program to brief the students on the Various features of Packaging in Pharmaceuticals and the novel development in the current pharmaceutical industry.Guest Speaker-Mr. Debashrita Sahoo,Sr.Manager R&D, Swiss Garnier group of Companies.
Objective(s) of the Event : The lecture was organized with the following objectives:
Ø To deliver students with a comprehensive exposure of Packaging and development.
Ø To acquire and understand the concept behind the art and science of Packaging.
Ø To offer a platform for students to interact with Industry expert and refine their knowledge.
Ø To provide the insight of new development in packaging of pharmaceuticals.
Ø To understand the importance packaging in pharmaceuticals.

Outcome:
· To ensure our students’ involvement in the regular curriculum as well as practical oriented knowledge in this Pandemic situation.
· To deliver appropriate platform for their subject related interaction with subject expertise from industry and research laboratories.
· To offer the promising pharmacists of our future generation with fundamental information related to packaging i,e providing presentation, protection, identification , information, convenience, compliance , integrity and stability of the pharmaceuticals.
· To provide students platform where they can interact with the Industry Expert dealing with the research and development of packaging material as well as formulations. Also Provide link with the expert which will help us as well as our students.
Amity students were benefited by the speaker’s deliberations with improvement of their knowledge, and increased motivation to join pharmaceutical industry.
