Professional Skill Development Program: Fostering Innovation, Entrepreneurship, IPR & Employment

Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus organized an online Professional Skill Development Program for students of "Health & Allied Sciences Domain" on the theme "Fostering Innovation, Entrepreneurship, IPR and Employment" during 11-15th May 2021 which was inaugurated by Prof Dr B Suresh President Pharmacy Council of India on 11th May 2021.

The idea of this program was the brainchild of Hon VC, Prof Dr Balvinder Shukla and was conceived to fulfill the vision of Hon Founder President Dr Ashok K Chauhan and Hon Chancellor Dr Atul Chauhan. 

It was curated by Convener, Prof Dr Suneela Dhaneshwar Director, Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Dy Dean Research into five meaningful tracks comprising of sessions by revered speakers on diverse topics such as personality and skill development, career opportunities, Entrepreneurship Development, Innovation & IPR Awareness, and Ethics in Research & Publication. Experts from Pharmacy Council of India, Innovation Cell, AICTE HQ. Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, National Incubation Foundation, Multinational Pharma Companies, Patent Attorneys, Industry Experts, Entrepreneurs, and Innovators addressed over 550 student participants from 20 states on various relevant topics. 

The programme catered guidance on higher studies and competitive exams, as well as cognized the students with divergent career opportunities in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. It also tried to enhance the proficiency of participants to innovate, inculcate entrepreneurial mind-set and skill set along with nurturing professional as well as personal abilities to make them employable, industry ready and also ensure their longevity and success in their careers. Students were equipped with information about intellectual property rights (IPR) and its significance in pharmaceuticals   along with Government initiatives in fostering IPR and ethical issues pertaining to Research and Publication. 

The professional skill development program fostered unique and enriching experience of continuous learning to the students under a single umbrella which was well received and appreciated by them.  Prof Dr Sunil Dhaneshwar Pro Vice Chancellor Amity University, Lucknow Campus appreciated the students during valedictory program and distributed certificates to the qualified students.
