Inter Section Persuasive Speeches Competition

April 5, 2017


The school organised an inter- section speeches competition to pay tribute to two literary icons - Shakespeare and William Wordsworth in the month of April. The participants delivered the speeches of famous personalities such as Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai, Mother Teresa, Barack Obama, Pandit Nehru, Charlie Chaplin, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and Oprah Winfrey.

Intra Class Book Review

April 12, 2017


The school organised an intra- class book review competition titled 'An Epicure's Review' for the students of Class VII. The range of reviews swung from Greek mythology, Bhagwad Gita to Enid Blyton and Ruskin Bond. The students presented the reviews with creativity, dramatisation, background music score, perfect intonation and articulation. The winners were - Anuja Bhargava, Advait GS, Aryan Misra, Shubh Sharma, Anushka Suyal and Anika Gupta.

Zilina Model United Nations (ZAMUN)

March 30- April 1, 2017


Samriddh Bommuluri Rao and Saksham Bommuluri Rao from the school, along with 4 other students from Amity Schools participated in ZAMUN held at Slovakia, under the aegis of AERC. ZAMUN witnessed 136 delegates from across the world, who reviewed, assessed and debated upon major issues of global concern. The trip concluded with Amitians visiting the prestigious UNO office located at Vienna to get a real feel on the functioning of UN Committees.

Art Display Camp

December 26, 2016- January 14, 2017


The school's art faculty and group of students participated in the fourth Art & Sculpture Camp in their respective schools on the theme 'Incredible India'. Each team comprising 3 students and a teacher-in-charge worked on a masterpiece during the camp. The selective masterpieces were judged by famous artists.

CBSE Regional Level Science Exhibition

December 15-17, 2016


Two teams from school participated in the exhibition. Team 1 comprising Mann Bankoti and Saumya Dhiman along with teacher Ekta Soni presented their project on the topic 'Storable Fuel and Fuel Maker for Rural India' whereas Team 2 comprising Mansha Khanna and Samica Vashisht along with teacher Anshu Khanna presented their project on the topic 'Bin-Gen-Y'.

Race of life begins for toddlers

February 4, 2017


The school organised Tele Matches for Class Nursery to II. Little kids came dressed in colourful tracksuits, marching to the tunes of the Scottish Band and put up a great show of coordination. They displayed great sportsmanship spirit by taking part in drills, taekwondo, yoga display and various unique races with themes like Digital India, Swachh Bharat, Protecting environment etc.

Atal Tinkering Lab


The school was selected from amongst 6000 applications who applied for setting up of (ATL) Atal Tinkering Labs in schools by Niti Aayog that aims to 'Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators'. The schools successfully qualified by participating in the ATL Innovative Challenge where they took up 'Environment' as a challenge introduced by Sanyam Jain (XII). Aditya Subramaniam (XII) gave the presentation on 'Algae on urban walls' whereas Kavya Aggarwal (XI) presented on the topic- Eco friendly vending cart.

Annual Day Celebrations

The school celebrated its Annual Day titled 'Ath se Iti'. The day showcased the talent of more than 1000 students of Class V to XI who creatively displayed the glory of India from 'then to now'. Mr Zigmund Bertok, Ambassador of Slovakia as the chief guest and Mr Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister, Govt Of Delhi as the guest of honour, graced the occasion. Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools applauded the efforts of the children for bringing alive the ancient times of India and beautifully portraying the civilization and culture.

National Conference on Science Education

November 24- 26, 2016


Teachers Madhu Kapoor and Anshu Khanna participated in the National Conference on Science Education organised by NCERT at the Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer. Anshu Khanna presented papers on their research work on Constructivist Approach in Facilitating Learning of Science while Madhu Kapoor presented on Effect of indicators on Acids and Bases. School Principal Sunila Athley complimented the innovative and unique teaching techniques adopted by the teachers in imparting science education at the middle school level.

English Recitation Competition

The students of Class Nursery and KG took part in the competition. The competition with the theme 'animals' was organised to encourage recitation skills and instill confidence in children. Children came dressed in their favourite animal costume wearing colourful props.

NTPC State Level Painting Competition

November 9, 2016


Aditya Dutta (Class V) and Subhashree Rana (Class IX) were selected among 32 lac students for the state level at Lucknow after clearing the regional level painting competition organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency under the aegis of the National Thermal Power Corporation. Aditya Dutta bagged the second position and was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 and a certificate while Subhashree received the Consolation prize of Rs.2,500 and a certificate by the chief guest, Ms Sangeeta Singh (IAS, NEDA) and Mr RS Rathi (Regional Head, NTPC).

The school organised an exhibition on Celestial Odyssey on November 19, 2016. The little students exhibited colourful and innovative models of spaceships, wind chimes based on solar systems, telescopes and celestial world.

On the occasion of the birthday of Dr Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Universe celebrated as Founder's Day, Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson Amity Group of Schools & RBEF felicitated 10 CGPA achievers of Class X, scholarship holders from Class V to VIII and stream and subject toppers of Class XII with certificates, trophies, badges and scholarships. Nurturing Compassionate Citizenry

November 7- 11, 2016


In order to sensitize children to be compassionate towards animals and birds, the school celebrated 'Nurturing Compassionate Citizenry Week'. The kids were told tales about loyal and faithful pets and were sensitized to not hurt their mute companions. The last activity of the week culminated with the tiny tots bringing their beloved pets to the school and sharing how they have become an integral part of their families.

Grandparent's Day Celebrations

September 8-9, 2016


The students of AIS Vas 6 celebrated Grandparent's Day. The grandparents were filled with great enthusiasm as they walked on the ramp and participated in various activities such as musical chair, spoon race, blindfold game, etc,. The little ones presented a graceful ballet and also recited poems in honour of their grandparents.

Nurturing Leadership Programme 2016

October 7 to November 30, 2016


The school played host to three Slovakian guest students who arrived in India on Oct 7, 2016 for a 55 days Nurturing Leadership Programme 2016. The programme introduced in the school under the guidance of Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF is a part of student exchange programme that aims to promote goodwill, peace and mutual understanding between the children of various countries and develop leadership qualities. During their stay at the school, the students shall stay with the families of the host school students, where they will also be exposed to the rich diversity of Indian life and family values. Apart from their regular academic classes, the students shall be partaking in Indian art & dance forms, yoga & instrumental music. They will also be a part of Amity International Model United Nations 2016 as delegates.

Amity Yuva Vichaar Manch

May 12-16, 2016


Amity Yuva Vichar Manch is a forum provided by Chairperson Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan wherein the students and teachers across Amity, discuss and debate on various scientific and technical issues of importance. This year-long programme comprises five stages, viz., essay writing competition, group discussions, debating sessions, power point presentations based on the compilation of case studies and concludes with the most elaborative Youth Parliament that also involves understanding of parliamentary procedures. AIS Vas VI participated in the sixth AYVM held at AIS Noida. The event organised under the aegis of Amity's Children Science Foundation (CSF), saw students slip into the shoes of parliamentarians as they discussed different topics like - Is academic talent of more worth than sporting talent, Odd-Even scheme, No Junk Food bill etc. The school won many other awards in various categories. Nishant NS won the Best Question award. The Best Answer award went to Vrinda Singhal and Arunima Gaur.

Unique Audio Visual Heritage Exhibition?the Vintage Collection

December 2015


The UNESCO decided to observe October 27 as the World Day for Audio Visual Heritage to protect and safeguard the heritage of audio visual media like Films, Television, Radio, Photographic prints, etc. Amity International School Vasundhara Sector-6 organized this unique exhibition to pay tribute to the audio visual legacy on 19th December, 2015. The motive was to make the students aware that our audio visual heritage is very much a part of our everyday life, but is often taken for granted.




Cleanliness minstrels

Inspired by the Prime Minister?s clarion call for a clean India, an Inter house vocal music competition was held on 8.12.2015 for which the topic was Cleanliness Anthem. Through music and song and meaningful lyrics the students conveyed that cleanliness has to be an integral part of our personality. It is important to promote good health practices and observe personal hygiene in every home, school, and local community. Only then, will it be a way of life

When two generations meet, it is bound to be full of emotions, joy?.moments to cherish and keep the social institution of the family together and stronger. The Grandparent?s Day on 18th September was one such unique way for the children to value the strong social bonds which they can adhere to for a life time.Fun filled games brought in an atmosphere of bonhomie and last but not the least the ramp walk left everyone speechless as grand dads and grand moms walked with panache and elegance. Some of them shared unique personal moments with their grandchildren which brought tears.

Amity reverberated with colour, joy, music and dance as 190 students of Kindergarten participated joyfully in the 9 episode theatrical presentation of Lord Krishna. As a departure from the traditional lamp lighting, the colourful function began with the placing of baby Krishna in the cradle by the Chief Guest, SP City Ghaziabad, Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma.Parents and students had a gala time at Gokul Dham relishing lassi, flavoured milk, fruit dahi, butter milk, etc.

In a glittering ceremony, the Board and Subject toppers of class-XII and 10 CGPA holders of class-X were felicitated by the Chairperson on 13.7.2015. She extolled the achievements of the students and was happy to note their placements in prestigious institutions. The school is proud to have the highest school average in Ghaziabad region and also the topper, Sukant Koul, of the district who is also on the CBSE merit list with an aggregate of 98.6%. The teachers were appreciated profusely.

It was a proud moment for 25 students of our school to be a part of the Guiness World record when along with the Prime Minister of India they participated on Rajpath on 21.6.2015 on International Yoga Day. Our school was one among the 40 selected schools to have been selected to participate in this mega event.

Two students, Mansha Khanna and Anoushka Singh got the unique opportunity to meet Sunita Williams at American Centre, Delhi on 20.4.15. She showed her personal video, shared her experiences of the 322 days in space and motivated the children to explore the final frontier.

To apprise parents of pedagogic changes, activity planner, assessment pattern, sports curriculum, Amitranet interface, discipline desired and initiate them for a change of class, a parent orientation Program is conducted for classes Nursery, VI, IX and X, XI and XII. Parents also visit the respective classrooms of their wards to interact with the teachers.
