Amity School of Computer Science presents Samanvya

Amity School of Computer Science (ASCS) celebrated their yearly technical festival, Samanvya at, Sector-44, Noida on April 14th, 2005 with the theme of ‘Convergence Technologies’.

The festival was inaugurated by Mr. K.K. Bajpeyee from RailTel Corporation of India by lighting of the lamp. Addressing to the august gathering Mr. Bajpeyee commented that, “The tele-communications, computer communications, internet and broadcasting techniques are together responsible for the development since they made their presence felt in the 1990s”. He further added, “The broadband policy announced by the Government of India would boost the growth of convergence technologies.”

Mr. G.D Gahiya, Chairman- Telecommunication Consultant of India said that, “Convergence is a mixture of many technologies which we are trying to incorporate in our lives. Computer, telephone, television are all developing at the same pace and their combination is giving rise to new techniques. This technique is altogether a new one and is being called Information Communication.”

Dr. Ashok Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation remarked that, “Today’s entrepreneurs and educationists have brought forth a new kind of revolution, through which new technologies are being invented in the country, because of which the country’s youth is getting a platform to show their talent.” Dr. Chauhan, expressed his gratitude to the guests at Samanvya to make it a success and advised the students that to fight the economic superpowers we would have to put in lot of hard work and utilize new techniques to accomplish the goals set.
