Amity University Madhya Pradesh organizes the Annual Pre- Placement Training Workshop

Amity School Communication Enhancement and Transformation (ASCENT) and Amity School of Languages (ASL) – Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized the Annual Pre-Placement Training Workshop on 03 August 2018. The resource person for this workshop was Mr. Ronald Stephen Fernandes, CEO of Metamorphosis, Hyderabad a renowned training, consulting, and coaching organization. The Workshop aimed to familiarize and empower students to perform to the best of their abilities in the crucial group discussion and personal interview (GD and PI) components for their employment interviews.

The workshop comprised modules on:

1. Effective Group Discussion Strategies

2. Handling Interviews with Confidence

3. Mock GD/PI sessions

The event was held in two phases: first, in seminar hall A Block for the students of ASET, AIB, ASAP and AIBAS and second in seminar hall C Block for the students of ASCO, ALS, ASFDT and ABS.

Offering tips to the students on winning strategies pertaining to GD, Mr. Fernandes informed the students about the parameters on which GD is evaluated, characteristics of successful group discussion, and the method of participation in the GD. He further elucidated the qualities of students with are assessed during an interview.

Mock GD and PI sessions were also conducted, in which the students had an opportunity to attend interviews conducted in real life situations and were provided with analysis and feedback by the resource person.

Overall, the workshop received an enthusiastic participation from the students and faculty. It concluded with a lively question and answer session.

The highly interactive, activity oriented and informative workshop was graced by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof.(Dr) M P Kaushik, Dr. Iti Roychowdhury, Director ASCENT/ ASL, the faculty of ASCENT/ ASL,  members of the Directorate of Placement & CRC.

The session ended with the concluding remarks and presentation of memento to the guest speaker. Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Bishakha Mandal, Assistant Professor, ASCENT
