Guest lecture on New Insights of Molecular Interactions and Dynamics in Lipid Bilayer and DNA

Dr Sobhan Sen (Associate Professor), School of Physical Science, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi delivered a guest lecture on New Insights of Molecular Interactions and Dynamics in Lipid Bilayer and DNA from Ensemble and Single Molecular Fluorescence Spectroscopy and Computer Simulation” by Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Gurugram on 24th April, 2018.

Prof (Dr) Rajendra Prasad, Director Amity Institute of Biotechnology welcomed and introduced the guest.

Dr Sen shared how ultrafast fluorescence spectroscopy, femto second spectroscopy (single molecule imaging) can be used in biological systems. He also talked about his recent published articles regarding probe location mapping and probe location dependent Fluorescence Resonance Energy transfer in synthetic lipid bilayer (gel and fluid phase). He also explained the single molecule spectroscopy to find out the overlapping binding sites for human steroid hormones transport in Candida albicans. His talk was well appreciated by the audience and encouraged individual interaction.
