CIB organizes a summit on ‘Marketing in a new era- A Global Perspective’ at Hotel Ashoka

The Centre of International Business (CIB), Amity Business School (ABS) organized a summit on: ‘Marketing in a new era- A Global Perspective’ at the Ashoka Hotel, Chanakyapuri today. A research conducted by the CIB indicates that India can increase its GDP to at least 11% per annum, if we concentrate on our core competencies and through these competencies penetrate into the international markets. The research reveals that competition of India is not with the European countries, but with the countries which are providing the reasonable quality products at substantially low prices.
Mr. Sudhakar Rao, GM, HPCL spoke about the innovative and customer friendly marketing strategies being adopted by HPCL. “At HPCL, we understand the importance of retaining customers, and therefore we do value- additions from time to time. Very soon, all HPCL petrol outlets would allow the customer to leave their laundry at the petrol pump and collect it the next day. We want people to spend more time at our retail outlets”, said Rao. Also present at the inaugural session were Mr. Sameer Majumdar, GM- Quality Assurance, Continental Carbon India Ltd. & Dr. U. D. Chaubey, Director- GAIL.
