  • External Grant Assistance: Faculty members seeking assistance in obtaining external research funding from domestic and foreign funding agencies can turn to our dedicated research office.

  • The Amity Institute of Information Technology (AIIT) offers laboratories with high-performance computing facilities, dedicated research clusters in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and data science, as well as access to both paid and open-source digital research journals. The institute also collaborates with industry partners to support real-world implementation of research.
  • The Amity School of Architecture and Planning (ASAP & ASDK) includes specialized laboratories such as a computer lab, climatology lab, survey lab, model-making studio, and a materials museum to support architectural and design education.
  • The Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) is equipped with advanced scientific instruments including Transformer Kits, ST Microelectronics STM32F4 Discovery Boards, FPGA with Xilinx Vivado, Inverted Pendulum for control systems and reinforcement learning, ELVIS Boards, LabVIEW systems, compaction apparatus, concrete mixers, compression testing machines, CBR test apparatus with motorized load frames, MIG-MAG welding machines, universal testing machines, thermal conductivity units, Stefan-Boltzmann constant apparatuses, CNC lathe machines, and MATLAB software.
  • The Amity Law School Kolkata (ALSK) features a Moot Court Committee for simulated legal proceedings, along with dedicated centres for alternative dispute resolution, human rights, and corporate laws. The school also offers smart classrooms equipped with audiovisual aids and ICT infrastructure.
  • The Amity Institute of Applied Sciences Kolkata (AIASK) includes:
  • Department of Physics: Houses high-end experimental equipment such as the Remi Research Centrifuge R-24 with rotor R-244A, analytical balance (METTLER TOLEDO ME204), muffle furnace (operating up to 1050°C), ultrasonic cleaners (digital sonicator and ultrasonic bath), and a hot air oven.
  • Department of Statistics: Provides software tools such as R, Python, MATLAB, and SAS for statistical and data analysis.
  • Department of Dietetics & Applied Nutrition (D&AN): Equipped with dual-beam spectrophotometer, colorimeter, laminar airflow cabinet, autoclave, hot plate, muffle furnace, centrifuge, hot air oven, and essential chemicals and apparatus.
  • Department of Chemistry: Features a wide range of essential instruments including colorimeter, water bath, hot air oven, muffle furnace, analytical balance, distillation plant, vacuum pump, gold balance, mechanical stirrer, sonicator, centrifuge, binocular microscope, digital multimeter, melting point apparatus, potentiometer, microcentrifuge, magnetic stirrer with hot plate, heating mantle, UV spectrophotometer, polarimeter, water distillation unit, and precision analytical balance.
  • The Amity Institute of Pharmacy Kolkata (AIPK) supports academic and research activities in pharmaceutical sciences with a wide range of instruments including actophotometer, analytical balance, analgesiometer, aseptic cabinet, autoclave, binocular microscope, BOD incubator, colorimeter, conductivity meter, convulsiometer, desiccator, digital balances, colony counter, glucometer, pH meter, potentiometer, rota rod, turbidity meter, dissecting microscope, flame photometer, hot air oven, magnetic and mechanical stirrers, microcentrifuge, microscope, polarimeter, projection microscope, refractometer, Sherrington’s Kymograph Assembly, steam distillation unit, tissue homogenizer, UV cabinet, and water bath (6-hole). These facilities are well-suited for research and practical training in pharmaceutics, pharmacology, pharmaceutical chemistry, and pharmacognosy.
  • Other facilities include language and psychology labs, a curriculum lab for pedagogical studies, and a materials museum at ASAP & ASDK for architectural education.
  • The university fosters holistic development by offering sports facilities such as a swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, gymnasium, hostels accommodating 300+ boys and 300+ girls, cafeteria, auditorium, medical services, and convenient transport services.
