About the Conference

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, INDIA is organizing the 6th International Conference on Recent Developments in Control, Automation & Power Engineering (RDCAPE-2025). The conference aims to bring together academicians, scientists, industrialists, and researchers under one roof for the discussion on recent developments in the field of power, control & automation engineering. The conference intends to discuss issues related to new challenges of renewable energy, new control paradigms for efficient automation and decentralized power systems, new economics of open auction-based electricity generation, transmission and distribution markets etc. Some glimpses of past conference:

Year 2023: The fifth edition of RDCAPE was hosted on 12-13 October 2023. This edition witnessed a significant global outreach with keynote addresses and invited talks from renowned experts in academia and industry. Speakers included Prof. Wenwu Zhu from Tsinghua University, China, who shared insights on "AI and Data Science in Smart Energy Systems," and Prof. H. Vincent Poor from Princeton University, USA, who delivered a talk on "Advanced Signal Processing Techniques for Modern Power Systems."

Dr. Neeraj Mishra, University of Auckland, New Zealand, presented on "Green Energy Transition through Smart Grids," while Dr. Karuna Pande Joshi from the University of Maryland, USA, explored "Blockchain and IoT Applications in Energy Management." Other notable speakers were Dr. Ankit Verma, KAUST, Saudi Arabia, discussing "Renewable Energy Integration with AI," and Prof. Claudia Canizares from the University of Waterloo, Canada, who elaborated on "Optimization Techniques for Power System Resilience."

This edition also featured a focused session on "Emerging Trends in Electric Mobility," where industry leaders discussed challenges and innovations in EV infrastructure and battery technology. Additionally, a panel discussion on "Sustainability through Digital Transformation in Power and Control Systems" brought together six distinguished experts from academia and industry, offering a diverse perspective. A total of 134 papers were presented across eight thematic tracks, showcasing cutting-edge research in renewable energy, smart grids, robotics, AI in energy systems, and advanced control techniques. The conference proceedings were published in the IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by Scopus. The event emphasized the interdisciplinary nature of modern research and fostered collaborations between participants, furthering the vision of RDCAPE as a global platform for technological innovation in the power and control engineering domains.

Year 2021: The fourth edition of RDCAPE was hosted on 7-8 October 2021. In this edition, the keynote addresses were delivered by Prof. Dr. Ishak bin Aris and Dr. Ramani Kannan from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Dr. Alberto Borghetti, and Prof. Cecilia Metra from University of Bolona, Italy, Dr. Lorenzo Masia, from Heidelberg University, Germany, Dr. Raziq Yaqub, Alabama, A&M University Alabama, USA, Dr. Sanjay Lall, Stanford University, California, Mr. Oleg Ischuk, Chief Operating Officer from Netherlands, Dr. Maode Ma, from NTU, Singapore, Dr. J. G. Singh, from AIT, Thailand, ­Dr. Ramesh Bansal, from University of Sharjah, UAE, Dr. M. V Reddy from Montreal, Canada, Dr. Mihaela Albu, from Romania, Dr. Sanjeevi, from Denmark, Dr. Maxim V Bobyr, from Southwest State University (Russia), Dr. Kinga Schumacher, Germany and many more. These talks were in diversified areas including Electric Vehicle charging, power system flexibility in context with renewable energy, smart grid, Artificial Intelligence in Automation of Power Distribution System, robotics, Wide Area measurement system and various other advanced topics in the field of control and power. There was a panel discussion on Women in Engineering in which 5 well known experts from industry and academia presented their views. Total 121 papers were presented, and the conference proceeding was published by IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by Scopus.

Year 2019: The third edition of RDCAPE was hosted on 10-11 October 2019. In this edition many international professors attended and delivered keynote speeches. Prof. Zhihong Man, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia delivered an expert lecture on ‘Recent Development of Sliding Mode Observer for Nonlinear Systems’. Prof. Herald Weber, University of Rostock, Germany, gave talk on ‘A Safe Reliable and Regenerative Electrical Energy Supply to Power the Future’. Prof. Ishak Aris, Universiti Putra Malaysia, presented his views on ‘Applications of Deep Learning in Industry Revolution 4.0’. Prof. Abu Ahmad Siada, delivered talk on ‘Intelligent Techniques for Power Transformer Condition’. Dr. Yogendra Kumar Prajapati (Senior Member IEEE) from MNNIT, Allahabad presented his talk on ‘Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor: A Real-Time Sensing’. Total 120 papers were presented, and the conference proceeding was published by IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by Scopus.

Year 2017: The second edition of RDCAPE was hosted on 26th-27th October 2017. New areas like Artificial Intelligence, Information Theory, Machine Learning, Algorithm and Data Structure, Program Semantic & Verification, Natural Language Processing, Computational Complexity, Probabilistic Computational, etc. was added to the topics of conference. The guest speakers of this conference included Professor Vincenzo Piuri, Professor, Vincenzo Piuri, University of Milan, Italy, Prof. Mihaela Albu, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, "Politehnica" University of Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania, Prof. Ishak Bin Aris, Faculty of Engineering, University Putra Malaysia, Malaysia, Prof. Belkacem Kada, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Makkah Province, Saudi Arabia, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Harald Weber, Professor, University of Rostock, Germany. Global Business Promotion Group / Headspring Inc., Tokyo, Japan was the industry partner of the conference. Total 99 papers were presented across seven different tracks and the conference proceeding was published by IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by Scopus.

Year 2015: The first edition of International conference on Recent Developments in Control, Automation and Power Engineering (RDCAPE 2015) was hosted by Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, ASET on 12th-13th March 2015. The main sponsors for the event were Jetair, Macro Powertech, Sofcon Training, Teewe, Welspun Energy Ltd. The guest of honors included Dr. Bhim Singh Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India, Komla Agbenyo Folly, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Cape Town, South Africa. Guest speakers were mostly industry leaders from government organizations, established academicians from international and national premier institutes, and researchers from established research labs. The conference proceeding consisting of 72 selected papers was published by IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by Scopus.
