The annual ethical leadership programme, initiated by Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, chairperson, Amity Group of Schools under the aegis of The Global Times-Amity’s youth newspaper, aims at grooming students as harbingers of change. Young leaders from across all Amity International Schools work on different social issues related to women, by forming teams, researching topics, designing plans of action, generating funds and finally showcasing their work in the form of a presentation at the grand finale.

2017-2018 ->

Team leader Yashika Thapar XI with her team members Srijan Vaish (XI), Prakriti Bhanot (XI) and Sehaj Malhotra (XI) under the mentorship of Sonali Batra, decided to talk and tell people about how to manage diabetes through the blend of alternative therapy, modern medicine and home remedies. Their sincere efforts won them ‘First Runners up’ award and ‘Best community outreach’ award. The youth brigade set up a ‘Plant nursery’ in the school campus to grow diabetes friendly plants like, stevia, tulsi, dandelion, fenugreek, aloevera, sadabahar, cicus, etc. They also oragnised free blood test and created a bilingual diabetes recipe book. To amalgamate diabetes management with modern lifestyle they also made a 16 page ‘Eat out’ guide for diabetes patients which has the information about 24 restaurants which serve sugar free and gluten free dishes.
