A workshop on Problem Solving and Ideation organized by AIP on 20th & 21st December, 2023
Amity Institute of Pharmacy in collaboration with Institution Innovation Council, Amity University Gurugram organized a two day workshop on Problem Solving and Ideation, on 21st and 22nd December, 2023. A total of 22 students and 5 faculty members participated in the event.
The first session delved into the theme "Unraveling the Dynamics: Trends in Indian Innovation," where Dr. Gautam explored recent innovation trends in India, offering real-time examples and discussing the evolution of innovation dynamics over the past decade. Additionally, he also focused on the crucial role of intellectual property in economic growth and advocating for collaboration between academia and industry.
On the second day, Dr. Atin Kalra took the stage, starting with a brief introduction by Dr. Asim Kumar. The theme of the first session was "Cracking the Code: Strategies for Effective Patent Protection," where Dr. Kalra elaborated on ways academic and industrial organizations can protect intellectual property. In the second session, titled "Beyond the Lab: Practical Insight into Safeguarding Your Intellectual Property," he highlighted innovative teaching practices and the role of teachers in nurturing students' problem-solving skills. Dr. Kalra discussed case studies, encouraging students to prepare for patent agent exams and adapt to the evolving patenting landscape.
In conclusion, the event demonstrated knowledge about the dynamic landscape of innovation and intellectual property rights in India. Moreover, the students were encouraged to generate innovative ideas and prototypes with commercial potential, along with protecting them through intellectual property rights.
