Awareness program on ‘World Wetland Day’ by ASAP on 2nd February,2024

 Amity University Haryana, February 2nd, 2024: The Amity School of Architecture and Planning organized a significant event to mark World Wetlands Day at the D Block Connector, 2nd Floor, AUH. World Wetlands Day is celebrated annually on February 2nd to highlight the importance of wetlands for biodiversity, climate regulation, and sustainable development. The event included a movie screening showcasing the rich biodiversity harbored by wetlands and their significance in maintaining ecological balance.

Ar. Poorva Priyadarshini and Ms. Meenu Babu, Assistant Professors at ASAP, spearheaded the event, emphasizing the urgent need to protect and conserve wetlands for the well-being of both people and the planet Through this event, attendees gained insights into the crucial role wetlands play in preserving biodiversity, regulating climate, and supporting various ecosystems. They learned about the threats facing wetlands and the actions needed to conserve and restore them. As we observe World Wetlands Day, it is imperative to raise awareness at both national and global levels to halt the rapid loss of wetlands and promote measures for their conservation. Amity University Haryana remains committed to fostering environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices for the benefit of present and future generation
