The university is a part of Amity Education Group and has campuses in India, Dubai, Singapore, China, Mauritius, London, Tashkent, Amsterdam and New York. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 and accredited by the NAAC with grade “A+” and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). It was India’s first private university to implement reservations based on caste etc. for both faculty as well as students. The school was started in 2003 with an enrollment of 120 students. In 2018, it was reported to have over 150000 students across more than 300 programs. Leading from the front, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Hon’ble Founder President Amity University has always focussed on Sanskaar based holistic education in everything we do. Under leadership of Hon’ble Chancellor and presence of all top University management this centre was inaugurated on 17th Oct 2022. This centre aims to be the hallmark symbol for his vision and will lead by example on how life and businesses can be carried in better ways. With blessings of Hon’ble Vice chancellor and Group Vice Chancellor the awareness of basic qualities of being born as a human will be nurtured and applied in academic pursuits embedded by default in the functioning of this centre.
Centre for Science of Happiness came into existence at AIBS, Amity University Uttar Pradesh due to partnership with R-Systems which is headed by Dr. Satinder Singh Rekhi, Managing Director. Agreement was signed to establish Centre for Science of Happiness on 17th Feb 2021. It aims to share simple methods to enhance happiness.
It is a platform for Building Joyful Students, faculty, corporates and community members who will be enhance their quality of lives, develop clarity, confidence and be a great asset to any Organization they will join or run in the future. It will look into the scientific side to enhance Happiness for all stakeholders involved.

To be an innovative Centre of Happiness that stands as an international beacon for promoting well-being, by harnessing research, educational programs, and cutting-edge happiness enhancement tools, catering to youth, professionals, and communities worldwide.
Objectives:
- To cultivate a comprehensive research foundation that informs and supports a robust Happiness and Well-being ecosystem.
- To offer transformative happiness education through structured, credit-bearing courses tailored for students, corporations, and the wider community.
- To secure and execute a diverse range of projects focused on advancing the understanding and application of well-being and happiness.
Goals:
- To design and implement interactive and hybrid programs such as happiness courses, seminars, and training modules for varied audiences including students and business entities.
- To assimilate and apply global best practices in the pursuit of happiness, as established by leading happiness psychologists, researchers, and institutions, adapting insights to multiple contexts and cultures.
- To engage in comprehensive, multi-disciplinary research exploring the various dimensions and determinants of happiness.
- To innovate and refine a suite of both concrete and abstract tools aimed at amplifying individual, team, organizational, and community happiness and well-being.
