About International Happiness

The Amity University Rekhi Foundation Centre for Science of Happiness is dedicated to fostering holistic happiness and well-being by blending India's rich cultural heritage with modern scientific approaches. We aim to uplift mental health, social connections, and overall happiness of students, academicians and community through innovative tools of happiness, well-being projects, strategic partnerships, and educational programs. It is the vision of Dr. Atul Chauhan, Hon’ble Chancellor Amity University to make Amity University the  Happiness hub for India and in the world by accelerating the joyful transformation among students, academicians and community.

Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Atul Chauhan, Hon’ble Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, the centre of Happiness was launched on October 17, 2022, the centre exemplifies his vision of integrating traditional values with modern practices.

With Blessings from Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Hon’ble Founder, guidance from Prof. Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor AUUP,  and support of Group Vice-Chancellor, Heads of Institutions,  we emphasize nurturing basic human qualities in academic pursuits. The centre, established in partnership with Dr. Satinder Singh Rekhi, founder Rekhi Foundation, aims to share simple, effective methods to enhance happiness.

Our platform builds joyful students, faculty, and community members, enhancing their quality of life, clarity, and confidence. We focus on the scientific aspects of happiness for all stakeholders.

  • Research Foundation: Build a strong research base to support the happiness and well-being ecosystem by 2025, publishing 10 peer-reviewed papers annually.
  • Transformative Education: Provide structured, credit-bearing courses and programs for students, professionals, and the wider community, aiming to enroll 2000 participants annually by end of 2024.
  • Diverse Projects: Initiate and manage five new projects / trainings each year that enhance the understanding and application of happiness and well-being.
