The institute has recently expanded the academic credit by introducing new programmes approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) in Teacher Education viz.

The Institute also offers a National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) approved M.Ed. program. AIE also offers Ph.D. programmes in full-time and part-time mode.

B.Ed. Spl. Ed. (LD) enables and ensures training of future teachers to cater to the needs of children with learning disabilities like dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, etc., especially in inclusive educational environments as special educators. They will be able to demonstrate competencies and skills to impart special education services and training effectively to people with learning disabilities as well as other people in various settings such as inclusive, special, open schools, rehabilitation clinics, and home-based education.

M.Ed. Spl. Ed. (LD) programme aims to prepare teachers as pioneers in education. The thrust of the programme is to instil professional acumen and develop teacher educators who will be equipped with conceptual and practical knowledge. It also focuses on developing competencies related to teacher education, its philosophical underpinnings, research methodology, curriculum planning, and awareness of the best practises in the field of pedagogical interventions and adaptations for children with learning disabilities.

Master of Education (M.Ed.) is a Postgraduate program which deals with the methodology of educational research and experimentation of new techniques of teaching. This course introduces students to new and innovative levels of teaching practises. Students who have successfully qualified their B.Ed.  from a recognized institution are eligible to apply.

Well-planned and executed experiential learning activities can develop critical analysis skills by promoting interdisciplinary learning, cultural awareness, leadership, team building, and honing professional, personal, and intellectual acumen.

Placement Assistance

The students are trained by the AIE Effective Internal Placement Cell, which closely works with vital industries and academic institutes to facilitate campus placements, help students make informed career decisions, strengthen their core areas of competence and prepare them to face interviews in a confident manner.

Career counsellors assess interests, personality as well as values and skills of students and help them identify career options and prospects that match their capacity and interest. The counselors also help students organise their plans and ideas about career prospects as well as further education.

Online School Internship 2020

At Amity Institute of Education, students pursuing B.Ed. have to undergo rigorous School Internship Training in the third semester. During the Pandemic, when all schools were closed, Amity gave a new learning experience for our B.Ed. students. AIE managed to provide Online School Internship to its students at leading and renowned schools in Lucknow - The Avadh School,Lucknow; Lucknow Public School, Lucknow and BSNV Intermediate College, Lucknow.

It is indeed a great hands-on learning experience for our students. This online school internship has provided our B.Ed. students a platform to hone their teaching skills. They have learnt to conduct online classes, online classroom management, e-assessment and e-evaluation tools, and many more. They also conducted various online activities in school.
