ASAPL as part of the described guidelines of Council of Architecture (CoA) plans educational tours every year for the junior and middle years of the course under its ambit. An Educational Tour to Bhopal, Indore and Agra of B. Arch students was conducted from 21st to 27th September 2019. The destinations selected for the tour have been based on the requisite knowledge and exposure as per the curriculum of the semesters on the excursion. Bhopal, Indore and Agra are examples of urban reconstruction and established pre independence historical character in architecture that was experienced by the country during the different dynastical rules on these parts of the sub-continent and hence were identified as important case study areas for architecture students. The proposed tour was a week-long excursion with educational content and focus on architectural character of identified towns, features of architectural practices in those eras and their evolution over time.
