Members of the YUVA Tourism Club commemorated the 166th year of the first revolt of Independence popularly known as the Sepoy Mutiny on 10th May 2023 by screening a short movie on the reasons, contributions, and significance of the revolt. Members remembered the sacrifices made by great freedom fighters of India like Mangal Pandey, Tantiya Tope, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Nana Saheb, and many more. The members also took the pledge for Travel for LIFE (Lifestyle for the Environment) envisioned by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. They pledged to contribute positively to the environment by adopting sustainable travel practices like using low-impact transportation, adopting planet-friendly lifestyles, and encouraging others to adopt responsible travel behaviour.
