Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University Maharashtra under the YUVA tourism club, organized a beach cleanup and sensitization drive, in which the students and members of Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism traveled to Thal Beach, Alibaug; an offbeat destination in celebrating World Tourism Day -2023. All participants actively took part in cleaning the boat jetty area and a part of the beach area and later interacted with the local community vendors as part of the sensitization drive. The beach clean-up drive was in line with the theme of World Tourism Day - 2023 i.e. "Tourism and Green Investments". Members propagated the importance of cleanliness in the holistic development of the destination. The members publicized the Travel for Life campaign launched by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India among the local communities.
The activity was organized by the YUVA Tourism Club of Amity Insititute of Travel and Tourism in collaboration with Indiatourism Mumbai- Western Regional Office of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
