Amity University Haryana Celebrates International Yoga Day 2022
Amity University Haryana conducted a 4-day yoga session on 8th International Yoga Day. Morning yoga sessions conducted at AUH from 18th to 20th June 2022 (6 AM to 7:00 AM) and on 21st June 2022 from 05:30 AM to 6.30 AM. Average 50 participants performed yoga exercises every day including security team, staff and students under the guidance of yoga instructor from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar Mr. Ajit Kumar Mishra and Capt. Hari Om, marshal from Amity University Haryana.
Mr. Ajit Kumar Mishra delivered lecture on the topic “Yoga and Holistic Health”. He stated that holistic health is an approach to life that considers multidimensional aspects of wellness, it encourages individuals to recognize the whole person; physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual. He emphasized on the importance of healthy body and mind which can be achieved through adopting yoga in day-to-day life.Live telecast of address of Hon’ble PM Sh Narendra Modi Ji – On 8th International Yoga Day, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji stated in his address that this whole universe starts from our own body and soul. "The universe starts from us. And Yoga makes us conscious of everything within us and builds a sense of awareness”. Under the theme of Yoga for Humanity which is a movement dedicated to inspiring and activating the community for sustainability and global development.The event was organized by DSW Office and coordinated by Mr. Rohit Saroha Sports Officer supported by DD Security & DD Hostel under the guidance of DSW Maj Gen Gurpal Singh Bal.
Total no of participants was 50.
