AIB/AIISH in collaboration with Amity University Haryana organised a international conference to celebrate the 30 Year anniversary of Cdr1, first multidrug transporter to be characterized in a pathogenic fungi which was held from 15th-19th February 2024.The event was participated by renowned internationalresearchers who are leaders in the field of yeast biologyand drug transport.
The event highlighted several unpublished works. Notably, Dr. Pierre Falcon showed for the first time, Cryo- EM data of Cdr1 protein, which received applaud from all the participants. The event was organized to witness the research advancements in the field of drugtransport in the pathogenic fungi.All the attendees witnessed the research developments in the area of drug transporters and fungal biology with an emphasis on Cdr1 protein.The conference served as a catalyst for academia-industry collaborations, paving the way for future research endeavors and societal impact initiatives. Plans for collaborative research papers, training programs, and a special issue by FEMS Yeast Research were outlined, underscoring the commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and addressing global health challenges.
