Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences (AIBAS), under the Faculty of Management & Behavioural Sciences, a part of Amity University Haryana, Gurugram, was established under Haryana Act 10 of 2010. Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences (AIBAS) is one of the premier departments offering eight programmes in Psychology and allied sciences in Delhi-NCR.

The department is committed to groom leaders and professional psychologists who are competent professionals with ethical and moral values. AIBAS aims to equip the budding psychologists with:

  • The knowledge and skills to study human behavior and its application in different settings
  • The techniques of diagnosis and treatment of mental health problems of a diversified population
  • The ability to unfold students’ potential, hone their talent and skills and develop their core competencies to prepare them for challenges of the modern-day workspace

AIBAS follows an inter-disciplinary mode of study to nurture appropriate behavioural skills and values of a good human being. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in Psychology and Behavioural Science.

Our distinguished faculty comprises academicians and professionals having rich experience in the field of Psychology and Behavioural Science. The teaching and research activities are guided by faculty and industry professionals. Our faculty members are also involved in research activities in collaboration with renowned institutes.

Besides a laboratory, meant for the practicum work, we have research labs, equipped with the latest tools. The seminar room is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that support academic and co-curricular activities.

 

The curriculum includes industry integration and promotes interface with industries and organizations working in diverse domains such as hospitals, NGOs, corporate sectors, development agencies, advocacy groups, counseling centres, educational institutes, research labs, global organisations etc.

The teaching, research and field training are based on contemporary socio-cultural issues such as stress and health, ageing, substance abuse, community mental health, disability, rehabilitation, the emotional well-being of individuals etc.

Our academic courses include the latest trends in Psychology and lay emphasize on practical training and fieldwork. The courses focus on acquisition of knowledge and skills through theoretical understanding and practical implications. Our innovative pedagogy includes experiential learning, workshops, seminars, presentations, declamation, and peer discussions, conferences, projects, field study and also hands-on training among other activities. The department has a strong link with various governments, private, corporate and non-governmental organizations for fieldwork and students placement. Currently, AIBAS has strength of more than 400 students under its wing.
