A Mental Health Fiesta Organised by AIBAS on 10th October, 2023
Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences, Amity University Gurugram organised a Mental Health Awareness Fiesta on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, on 10th October, 2023. The impact of the event was heightened by its diverse educational mediums, engaging the student community in understanding the importance of mental health maintenance.
Through compelling student performances, including role-plays, skits, and poetry, the event effectively conveyed the message of normalizing mental health conversations and prioritizing therapy or intervention. A psychology related quiz was also been conducted which helped the participants demonstrate knowledge about psychological facts. An art therapy session was being conducted by the faculty, which played a crucial role in simplifying the process of introspection and fostering a more positive self-concept through the use of colours. A total of 107 students participated in the event.
In conclusion, the students acquired essential personality development skills, including team building, leadership, integrity, emotional intelligence, public speaking, and event logistics management. The event not only raised mental health awareness but also contributed to the holistic development of students.
