Research & Publications

Established on 12 November, 2014, under the aegis of AIBAS, the centre of excellence titled ‘Amity Centre for Positivism and Happiness’ promotes positive mental health, well-being and happiness in personal and professional life of individuals.

The centre was established after three consecutive international conferences were organized at AIBAS in 2010, 2011 & 2012. The Centre is headed by Prof. S.S. Nathawat, Professor Emeritus. This centre is actively engaged in promotion of positive mental health and happiness in personal and professional life in Amity University by holding regular sessions and globally through conferences, seminars, workshops and guest lectures.

Amity Centre for Positivism and Happiness conducted below-mentioned research activities:

  • A book titled 'New facts of Positivism' by Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan & Prof. S.S. Nathawat was published in 2011, Macmillan.
  • A Chapter on 'Positivism in Relation to Signature Strengths in Educated Working Women and Housewives' by S.S. Nathawat and Tanya Tripathi in a book titled 'Character Strength Development' published by SAGE 2018. (Edited By Aneesh Kumar et.al)
  • Eleven Ph.D.’s focusing Positive Psychology constructs are awarded/currently in process.
  • Two Positive Psychology books naming “Flourishing in Everyday Life: Science- Backed Advice from Experts” (Publishers Springer Nature) & “Thriving in Adversity: A Handbook of Positive Psychological Intervention (Publisher Taylor & Francis) are under process by Dr. Neharshi Srivastava & Dr. Ajit Kumar Singh (2025).
  • Several Webinars/Seminars/Guest Lectures/Field Visits are organized every semester to create Positivity & Happiness in the community under the aegis of the Centre.
  • Every year the Centre is organizing Manollaas to create awareness on Mental Health and promote happiness and positivity.
  • In 2025, the Centre celebrated International Day of Happiness in which several activities such as stress-relieving board games, guest lecture by Sister BK Suneha, Workshop on Shaypko by Ms. Aahana Saha and movie screening were organized to create happiness, and positivity among the students.

Manollaas’24: A Mindful fest to create awareness on Mental Health.

2-Day National Seminar on Relevance of Indian Knowledge System in the current context and contribution of Philosophy, 2024 sponsored by Indian Council of Philosophical Research.

Umang’25 was celebrated to promote Happiness and Positivity.

Under the aegis of ‘Amity Centre for Positivism and Happiness’ students, faculties and scholars have participated in more than 100 international and national conferences and seminars.
