As I reflect on my enriching three-year academic journey, I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude for the immense academic, creative, and personal growth I have experienced during this time. The faculty members were not only highly knowledgeable and approachable but also deeply committed to our learning. Their mentorship played a crucial role in shaping my critical understanding of political theories, ideologies, governance systems, public policy, and contemporary socio-political issues. Classroom discussions, debates, and project work enhanced my analytical thinking and encouraged me to explore complex political realities with a nuanced perspective. Beyond academics, my involvement in extracurricular activities played a significant role in my personal development. Being an active member of the Manzarnama Skit Club allowed me to engage with powerful social issues through theatre creatively. Performing skits on topics such as gender sensitivity and social justice helped me gain confidence, teamwork abilities, and a deeper sense of empathy. Additionally, my participation in modeling and anchoring events at university functions allowed me to refine my public speaking, presentation skills, and stage presence. These diverse experiences collectively contributed to my holistic development. I am truly grateful to my department and university for providing such a vibrant platform that fostered both academic excellence and creative expression. These memories and learnings will always remain close to my heart.

Right from the beginning, the department provided an environment that not only emphasised academic excellence but also encouraged overall personality development. Through active participation in various extracurricular activities—ranging from debates and cultural fests to sports events—I was able to groom my personality, boost my confidence, and develop valuable soft skills that I will carry forward in my career. The college offered immense opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. From internships and workshops to seminars, every experience added a new dimension to my learning. These opportunities played a crucial role in shaping my practical understanding and expanding my network. One of the most valuable aspects of my time here was the unwavering support from the faculty members. Their guidance, encouragement, and accessibility made a significant difference in my academic journey. They were not only teachers but also mentors who genuinely cared about our growth and success. I am deeply grateful for all that I have gained from this department and feel proud to be an alumnus of this institution.

Throughout my three-year degree in BA (Hons) Political Science, I found myself constantly inspired by a vibrant academic environment, dedicated faculty, and a culture that encourages critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning. AILA provided me with a solid foundation in political theory, international relations, and comparative politics while also allowing me the flexibility to engage with diverse perspectives from other liberal arts disciplines. The rigorous curriculum, coupled with seminars, workshops, and interactive classroom discussions, played a crucial role in shaping my analytical and research abilities. Being a part of AILA was not just about academics—it was about being part of a community that values curiosity, compassion, and change-making. This experience has been instrumental in preparing me for my future academic pursuits, including my preparation for the UPSC examination. The teaching instilled a lifelong passion for political inquiry and public service. Experiences of organising events like Amity’s Rangmanch in Amiphoria 2024 and Amity Youth Parliament 2024 have given me even greater opportunities to learn new things such as managing finances, public speaking and other leadership qualities. I am deeply grateful for my time at AILA and will always carry forward the values and learning this institute instilled in me.

There can be no doubt in saying that Amity Institute of Liberal Arts has given me an identity that I did not have. Pursuing BA (hons) History in Amity was a period of great learning. It literally goaded me to think beyond my capacity. Amity University inculcates confidence and encourages students to build not only their present but their future as well. And all this becomes possible by virtue of Amity’s skilled, distinguished, supportive, and learned faculties. I will always cherish the memories I shared with this place.

Being a protégée of Amity University has enhanced my being and persona in as many ways as possible. I can count on my days of success, which I accomplished, winning through each challenge and becoming the best version of myself. Three amazing years that I have spent in Amity have given me a glimpse of what life actually is beyond factual knowledge. I was blessed with some of the best mentors one can have, who guided my energies in the right direction to achieve what I wanted, without which this journey would not have been possible. Along with gaining the best knowledge, I learnt hard work and team spirit. I have been privileged enough to be able to work under the esteemed Professor Abhishek Mishra (Ex-Cabinet Minister, National Spokesperson, Samajwadi Party). Amity gave me this brilliant platform and opportunity to learn and work with such prestigious personalities. This was an opening to a lot of different opportunities in the field of my choice. It is an honour to be a part of the Amity fraternity, as it is the beginning of great achievements in life.

As an undergraduate student, the institution was responsible for making me realise my true potential. With assistance from mentors like Dr. Seema Rizvi and Prof. Pravin Agarwal, I have been able to embark on a journey to make positive contributions to India’s socio-political scenario. I am highly indebted to Dr. Anuradha Rai, a faculty member at AILA. She helped students learn various concepts of international relations as well as western political thought. The contribution of Dr. Harsh Vardhan, HOI, as an able leader helped students and faculty immensely to secure success in academics and other spheres.
