Amity University Mumbai Organizes Field Work Project At Hampi For Travel & Tourism Student

 A Field work project was organized for practical understanding of subjects taught, for students of travel and tourism by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Mumbai. This was held on 01st December to 6th December 2022. The tour was well organized and managed by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism (AITT), along with giving hands on training to students while organizing the same.

 
A total of 21 students of BTTM 2020 batch & MTTM 2021 batch were part of the tour and were accompanied by 2 faculties. It was a hands-on experience for the students in areas of Heritage Tourism, understanding work of the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) as to preserve & maintain all historical sites of India. Implementation of theoretical aspects such as Time management, situation handling, communication skills, tour planning and operations, historical & heritage tourism products, cultural tourism products, economics of tourism, sustainable tourism, destination management were accomplished during this entire trip. Students visited Virupaksha Temple, Vijay Vithala Temple, Royal Enclosure, Elephant Stable, Tungabhadra Dam, Pushkarni in Hampi & Group of Monuments at Pattadakal, Durga Temple at Aihole, Chalukyan Badami Caves. Students not only learned the architectural sites of prominent rulers in history but also learned about how Indian religion and mythology is closely interwoven and cannot be separated from each other.
 
Students learned the interlinkages of various aspects of tourism components and relationship and significance of monuments, heritage and culture with travel and tourism. Holistic understating of conservation and preservation of Incredible heritage of India was soaked in by students while undertaking the field visit.
